Audio Fading/Transition

Hello,

I am wondering how to do fading/transtions with audio files. Is there any planning to cover that featuer by V5.0?

However, it should not be that difficult doing that in an audio editor. But for some reason I can not find a way with my exiting editors Audacity and Nero Wave Editor 5.5. There is only the feature for fading in and out, but not fading from one file to another audio file.

Does anyone have some suggestions on that?

Thank you very much for the great programm and the help in that forum!

Yes you can fade by using Audacity's multitrack options. Contact me and I'll send you some screen shots to show how it's done.

In Audacity you can acheive this by opening a file and then IMPORTING your second file.

Perform a FADE OUT on the first file and a FADE IN on the second.

Then slide the second file along so that the fade in is overlapping the fade out. Generating silence is an easy way to slide the second file along underneath the first file - if you go too far simply delete some of the silence.

Once you have it as you require export to MP3.

I always advocate working on WAV files and then saving to MP3 when you are satisfied with the result.
