Attachment of Sound Files

Hi Ebenist,

I think the ability to attach music to a slide will continue to be done in the "customize slide" window, "music" tab (and not in the o/a window).

But as Igor said when he made this beta #2 avalaible,

"It's a very earlier beta and it temporarily doesn't include many features and functions existed in previous versions."

But it will in the final release of v5. :)

Hi Ebenist,

I think the ability to attach music to a slide will continue to be done in the "customize slide" window, "music" tab (and not in the o/a window).

I guess, if that is the case, and sound files (I'm particularly thinking of spoken commentary) cannot be attached to images, that have been added to the main image in O/A - then the only recource will be to add the commentary (voiceover) to the background music file itself.

Unfortunately, that will require very precise editing of the main music file and mean the loss of the ability to, later, change the position of an animated slide on the timeline.

It needs a bit of thinking about!

John,

I suspect that Igor will get that sorted out, too, in time.

In the meantime, we should be able to add individual sound bytes to each main image on the "sound" line in addition to the background music via "Project Options". (once Igor finishes adding the rest of the existing features to v.5.)

IMHO, the nicest way to add a sound in the O/A window would be the ability to associate it with a keypoint.

But I suggest to speak about it after the v5 final release. :)

Personally, IMHO, I would rather have the capability to hear the sound while "scrubbing" the timeline in the "O/A" window to enable placement of the objects, but it would be good to also be able to associate sound clips with objects. Maybe someday! B)

I noticed this beta update and I'm very pleased with the result so far. But talking about sound/voice I would appreciate the fact if it would be possible to have the ability to use multiple sound/voice channels comparable with what M.Objects is providing. In that case we will be able to assign multiple music channels and and have a separate channel for voice fragments that can be alligned with the slides. I'm not a programmer and therefore not completely aware of the technical possibility to implement this  .

Thanks,

Rudy
