"display slides in random order" only works if "dispay

Hi,

I've noticed that if I check the box to "display slides in random order", the pictures are still show in serial if "display each slide for:" is not checked. I am testing by using the arrow keys or the space button to go to the next slide and it goes to the immediately next slide as opposed to a random slide. Selecting "display each slide for:" with a large time limit does not work either (when I use the arrow keys it goes to the immediate next slide).

Is this a bug? Or are there some key combinations to go to the next random slide. Thanks!

I ran the exe with and without turning on the nav bar with the same results (clicking on the arrow for next picture on the nav bar/right arrow key without the nav bar takes me to the next picture in serial rather than at random). I'm not sure what you mean by doing it from the program? are you saying that I can put some logic in the program that can control the sequence of slides?

Thanks again for your promt responses.

Hi Ken,

I don't have any music to go with it, so don't have my "Synchronize slideshow to music duration" checked. If I do check it without having music, it doesn't let me proceed as my playlist is empty.

My Project Options is as per attached screenshot. As you can see "Display slides in random order" is checked. However, when the exe starts playing and I move to the next image using the arrow key or space bar, the next image is not picked randomly.

Alt-R does randomize the list but its a one time thing and the pictures appear in the same sequence thereafter everytime.

Thanks,

- Arun
