Wanderlust Posted yesterday at 08:39 AM Report Posted yesterday at 08:39 AM About 6 years ago, I was still using ProShow Producer (before I found PTE) and made a video using a multiple photo selection (see attached video) but can't remember the name of the style and I certainly don't want to reinvent the wheel so to speak in doing it from scratch. I have searched high and low for something similar but not having any luck. Would anybody here be able to PLEASE point me in the right direction to obtaining something like it? Bad Dancer Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago This style can be recreated in PTE, but… First, for a full recreation, this program doesn't have a vignette with rounded corners — only straight lines — and such corners can be achieved by using a mask with rounded corners, meaning there will be a frame with a mask and an image with a mask. Second, the photo fade-in and fade-out effect is created by layer opacity — so on a straight vignette this will be easy, while on a rounded one you'll need to apply opacity to all the other layers. But! It can be recreated. Straight frames can be done in half an hour to an hour, and with masks — in a couple of hours. The key is to calculate the slide timing correctly: here the photo appearance lasts about 0.4 seconds, and the style duration is about 42 seconds. What remains is to position the keyframes correctly. Wanderlust Posted 14 hours ago Author Report Posted 14 hours ago Hi BD and many thanks for that response. Very much appreciated. I was kind of hoping someone had already done this sort of project as I wanted to incorporate it in a current project. Nonetheless, it can wait until I get my foggy old brain into attempting it. Might take me a few more hours than you suggest, but will certainly get the brain cracking. Nothing quite like a challenge to crank up the sleeping grey matter. 😃 Again my many thanks Peter Quote
Bad Dancer Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Hi Peter. I made a style similar to yours, but not exactly like the original. This is the simplest version with straight corners of the vignette. There is a style file and a project file in the project folder. I have included the project file in case you want to modify the design according to your preferences. The style name is random, but its animation resembles a similar preset with alternating images in After Effects. Photos in the style are cropped with a 16x9 aspect ratio. Keep this in mind when using photos with other sizes, or disable the "Crop" feature in the project and save the style with a different name.
