Redhall Posted August 1, 2007 Report Share Posted August 1, 2007 When I try and convert my TIF files to jpg for use in PTE I only get a limited drop down window that doesn't show a jpg option.This seems to occur only when the TIF file was created from a RAW file. When you save as a TIF and import into Photoshop, you have to go to Image - Mode - and select 8 bit. Then you will be able to save as a jpg. bmccammon Posted August 2, 2007 Report Share Posted August 2, 2007 You can specify 8 bit or 16 bit in the Adobe Raw Converter before opening a file. If you open it as a 16 bit file you can quickly make it serviceable for PTE by using the "save for web" option which will convert it to an 8 bit JPG file. Good luck.
