  1. Although I am still at a loss as to why my trial version of Ulead Movie Factory will not work with Pictures to Exe I am pleased to report that my recently acquired Roxio Easy Creator 6 does, so, at long last, I am able to burn my slide shows to cd. A cautionary note however for other users having the same problem as me - if you use any software other than Ulead you will need to untick the Ulead box in the PTE AVI custom window otherwise the slideshow will be automatically saved with a file extension *pte instead of the required *avi MalcolmG
  2. Regrettably it doesn't work as simply as that! At least not in the trial version of Ulead DVD MovieFactory2 that I have which does not recognise the AVI file with the extension [*Pte] created by PTE. In fact my version would appear to recognise only files created with file extensions *.iso; *.ixa - whatever they are! In consequence I cannot load the AVI file into MovieFactory2. Any Ideas anyone? 3. I have decided to join this thread on Ken's advice as I seem to be the only one not able to create a SVCD using PTE and UleadFactory2. Specifically my problem is as follows. Firstly I have upgraded my PTE software to the latest Beta version to provide the AVI facility. However the AVI file produced has a file extension of [*Pte ] whereas the trial version of Ulead MovieFactory2 software can only recognise files with an ext *.iso;*ixa. I cannot therefore get my slideshow to load into Ulead MovieFactory2 in order to create a SVCD disc. Has anyone else had a similar problem and managed to find a solution? MalcolmG
  4. Thank you Michel and Ronnie I confess that I am getting a little confused. Firstly what is the difference between a DVD and a SVCD?. My Pioneer DVD player will play both. The PTE software only allows a slideshow to be saved as an executable file with a file extension [*.exe] How do I capture/convert it to a [.mpg] file in order to download it onto a CD?
  5. Can anyone tell me what I need (hardwear/software) to enable me to produce a DVD from a PictureToExe file please? Currently I have a DVD player and a CD rewriter installed on my computer. I use Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 to burn CD's. If I were to upgrade that software to facilitate the creation of a DVD could that be achieved using my CD rewriter or would I still need to purchase a DVD writer?
