Thank you. I think I solved it. I used your approach. It appears that it takes two click - one on the arrow and one on the center button for it to work. I hope that when version 8 comes out, there will be an clear and simple update to parts of the manual for those of us who need such things. This is such a great program.

I cannot find any discussion on how to make this work. I want it to run as one would open a book with the page curling up and to the left. I am using 7.5.9 I clicked on the first slide to make sure it was highlighted. I went to the project options and unchecked dissolve and checked page curling. Then I clicked on curling of the page. The little directions and actions etc. information came up on the right. It took a while, but I got the demo to continuously run the way I wanted it by clicking on the second arrow down on the left and then clicking the middle box which seemed to lock it. (There must be an easier way than waiting and clicking and hoping until the page curls the way one wants it, but I do not know what it is. If someone would please tell me, I would be appreciative.) I changed the color back side of the page. I left the other things at the default settings including rolling up to pipe. I clicked okay. No page curl. One slide just popped on after the other. I checked audio disk 3 from Beckham, but he uses a different version with a much simpler set up for page curl. But the default setting are about the same. He did change the duration of the effect so I did also. The length of the slide is 9 seconds with a 5 second duration for the effect. I again clicked oaky, but there is no page curl. One slide just pops on after the other. I am sure there is something simple that I am not doing, but I cannot figure it out. I wish someone would do some tutorials or include more information in the manual as this is a great program once you figure out some of the possibilities. I did not use a custom preset. I just used the provided 1920 x 1020 high quality and 30p. All were jpgs created with Photoshop cs6 I am using an i7 based computer with an NVidia card along with Power Director 11 Ultra. I otherwise really enjoy the results of your program.

I have made many videos using Pictures toexe and Cyberlink Power Director. they have always worked. I recently upgraded to the 7.5.9 version . I used a previously made slide show and added two slides and went to "publish" and chose AVI, as I usually do. All of the slides are jpgs. I made sure I was using the same size 1920 x1080. I used high quality, and 30p as I have in all the previous videos I have made that always worked. I use Cyberlink because of the additional features which are easier to use than PTE. As I have always done, I imported the AvI file into Cyberlink Power Director. I went to play it to check and after two slides, I got an error code message that said " A media file in you project may not fully comply with the file format standard..." Since I am using the same method and the same products that I have in the past and the same settings, I am at a loss except to figure that it must be something in the upgrade to 7.5.9 from the 7,5,7 I previously had. I have had PTE since 7.5 and have never had this problem before. I tried making several different slide shows and converting them to AVI with both high and medium quality, and they all have this problem. I did not have any sound in any of the slide shows. How can I get back to the previous 7.5.7 version that worked? I checked with the early version page and the most recent one is the 7,0 version. I do like PTE, but need the early version until this gets fixed. Unfortunately, I did not save the upgrades from 7.5 that I started with. Can you send me a link or ?

I recently downloaded PTE and have been playing around with the various features. I decided to make some videos and save them in AVI format. I thought I would make several vides of the slide shows and put them together in another piece of software. I did not add sound to any of them as I was going to do so in the other software so that it would be continuous on playbalck of all. I made four AVI videos that did transfer and play in other softwware. I first opened them with VLC and the first four worked. I opened them in a Cyberlink product, and they worked. Nothing has changed with my computer. I am using the same size jpg files that I used previously .In fact, they are off the same shoot and same card with the same camera setting. I created slide shows five and six and used the same method to make the AVI file. I made sure that everything was set to 16:9 as I did before when I set up the project and just before I went to publsih in case I added a slideand did nto make the change. It ahs the same slide timing. They have between 25 and 30 slides each. Since I do not know about codecs etc, I just put in Microsoft 1, as did before, and opened the configure button and left it with the default. I had done the same with the previous AVI files, and they worked. Now, I cannot get any file made that way to open with VLC and get a message that it cannot open the file. I tried to open it with Media center or player and that did not open either. I tried the Intel codec, and that did not work. I am obviously doing something wrong unknowingly or there is a problem with the software. I do not know what else to try. I have read many of the other posts in this part of the forum and admit that I do not understand a lot of what is suggested. Any help would be appreciated especially if given in a simple and step by step manner as I am very new to this. Thanks in advance.
