  1. Hi eveybody

sometimes, when working with my pictures and saving them as Jpeg files, Jpeg files are corrupted (I believe that they are saved as ‘audio files’).

Each time I fall upon one of these corrupted files when working with P2E, I receive this error message: Jpeg error 41, preventing me from going on. The only thing I can do is to close the program by “Ctrl + alt + delete” and all the work is lost.

    1) – Somebody can explain me why Jpeg files are corrupted and how is it possible to avoid this problem.

    2) - Will it be possible , in future P2E versions to avoid program from stopping whenever Jpeg error 41 occurs ?

    Thanks

  2. [U]in any purposes useful I inform you however, that the end of the slide show,on my PC at least, contrary to your precedents, arises a bit before fine natural of the music, and that this one results from it abruptly cut"

I sent this message to Michel because I never experienced this kind of problem about his previous shows: music , at the end, is suddenly cut, stopping the fading; I think are missing about 2 sec. fading music.

My PC is a Pentium III 128 Mo Ram, working under Windows 98 S.E.

I checked twice before sending the message to Michel. I checked once yesterday evening (computer had 53% free resources); once more this morning (63% free resources): problem is still there.

But I’ve problems with my shows too !

  3. I like to add my “voice” too, on account to this great program: PICTURES INDEX VIEWER v4, but let’s call it simply PIV.

I agree with Guru about it’s usefulness for each of us working with P2E. As far as I’m concerned, I just saw the possibility to archive some works of mine in a professional look.

My opinion is this program, together with PRESENTATION LIST, to be interesting for professionals purposes.

Once more, many thanks to Granot for giving us so beautiful and useful programs.

  4. Hi everybody

I’m preparing a CD with BeechBrook presentations I enjoyed for a friend o mine having problems downloading My Grise Fiord because of his slow connection.

So I decided to do it with the very last version of Boxig’s PRESENTATION LIST 5.0 and I like to spend a few words about this great utility and to draw professional’s attention to it, as , at my opinion, it’s almost interesting for them.

First of all many thanks to Granot who is often giving us many utilities. The last you gave us is a very, very professional one.

This program it’s interesting for archiving any exe files but almost for presentations. You can add a lot of things: your voice message, your email, your webpage, your logos, and even your picture, and I’m thinking to use it for my ebook project.

I’m tempted to give a detailed description but it will take a long place. But I invite you to give a look at this program looking very nice and very professional.

    Thank you for your attention

  5. First of all, I’ve to say that the update version of “AMUSEMENTS” is quite the same as the first excepted I gave one second more to a picture and changed the background colour (white) of last black slide in order to have a full black screen. So nothing important at all.

I didn’t count the pictures but as I’ve just to read in PTE project, here are some details about:

    Total images : 177

    Titles images: 117

Titles animation images: 100 (that the reason why I gave them a smaller size)

Best wishes for 2003 to everybody

  6. Hi everybody,

Here I am again with problem !

I have knowledge that smb could not read “AMUSEMENTS” until the end because it stops.

Maybe this happens because of his computer, maybe because of my pictures and music size.

I give you here the details about how I was working at my show:

    - slides 24 x 36 mm scanned at 600 ppp true colours in order to have a good 800 x 600 p image-

(generally less than 100 Kb - dpi about 500-600)

    MPEG files

    - reducing size at 573 x 379 p ( 30 – 40 Kb - Dpi about 100-150)

    - music : MP3 at 128 Kb/s. Complete file of 6,5 Mb, cut at 3,5 Mb with MP3 AudioMixer

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for help

  7. Strange things

Strange things are happening into my computer!

In fact when I tried the downloaded file yesterday evening, it was running well.

As I had problems with my first show (Grise Fiord) , I made a new checking this afternoon, and noticed all the problems I spoke about.

This evening I downloaded again my show ( it’s a way to have the downloaded number increased) : I tried again and everything is running well!!!!

It’s not the only strange thing. I suppose my computer has decided to make me crazy.

Anyway, as I forgot to change the background colour of the last black, I ‘d like to update it, but I don’t know how to do.

Can somebody explain me , please?

    Thank you

  8. Hi to everybody,

Problem concerns freshly uploaded show “AMUSEMENTS” to http://www.beechbrook.com/pte/index.asp

Synchronization was perfect before uploading: music cut when last slide (black) was complete.

After checking the downloaded file from Beechbrook I noted music finishing about one second before black completing, which gives it the occasion to restart. It stops immediately as

the music settings for “CREDITS” slide was ‘begin new music’.

And now I’ve the same problem with all the files (project and exe files) on my computer!

And here I put my arms wide open with consternation (not at all!) : I don’t understand this inconstant behaviour!

Anyway I’m a little disappointed because ‘ Allegro Scherzoso’ is a too long music: so I had to listen to it very carefully to chose a cut looking like a natural end.

Can somebody help me in definitively avoiding this problem?

    Many thanks

  9. I agree with LumenLux about a CERTAIN AREA....But I think Winsoft could inform on his website about this problem: antivirrus programs can stop attached files. It happened to me and I remeber Inna Malkova was sending a new kay each day for a week; finally I understood the problem and gave her an "unprotected ''e-mail adress ..; and here I am.

  10. Hi,

before entering this forum I did know the difference between MP3, WAW, WMA, etc... but I was asking what they were useful for.

I've learned a lot about them here in the forum and have applyed the recently acquired knoledge; and the result was that my show shut down to 24 Mb from 35 Mb!

I saw the difference but as I'm not a dog, nor a cat or a mouse I didn't hear it.

I'm very grateful to those who are sharing their time anf knowledge to help others.

I'm filled with admiration for the cooperatin mind of this forum.

    It's a beautiful forum

  11. Hi to everybody,

Here am I with a new problem I encountered in testing the slideshow downloaded from my website. Usually it runs well but to-day, suddenly it stopped and I had the following message:

    - Exception Eaccess Violation in module DEBUT.EXE (my file) at 000110AA.

    - Acces violation at address 00456348 in module DEBUTEXE. Read of aadress FFFFFFFF.

I already had once that kind of message and both happened when I put the volume higher than usual.

My volume settlements were: MASTER VOLUME : ¼ - WAVE/XG: maximum - MIDI: middle –CD AUDIO: maximum - general Volume button: ½. (My volume settlements are just as my cat: really they make what they want)

I’ve to add too that the background music of my show is composed by three different pieces of music (in fact 4 but the first two have been mixed into one)

As the second part began I was hearing the first part too.

    Can anybody tell me why?

    Thanks a lot

  12. Hi to everybody

    I'm a new member

    I'm new to P2E

I made a presentation and everythin is running well, even the downloaded file from my website.

But I'm experiencing problems in reading the back up copy CD-R (written with WinOnCD at "normal settings"): music is running faster than slides.

It happens too (but not each time) that at the end of second part (second music) slides stop running and music begins again.

Is there anybody who can help me in solving this problem?

    Thank you

    Sam
