    Many thanks for your help.  I think my problem has resolved itself.  The files are now stable and open without a problem.  I have also created a backup on another computer which is also working well.  I suspect the shows were suffering from lack of use and are now being opened regularly!

    Samsung    Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-3537U CPU@2,000GHz      8.00GB RAM     64-bit operating system,     x64-based processor      Windows 8.1                                                                                                                 file sizes are around 7-8 mb

    My files created over a period of time will open satisfactorily one minute and a few minutes later fail to open.

    I want to run a presentation to an audience which contains ten of your files, but they are unreliable.  What can I do?
