  1. Hi All When adding a comment to the bottom of my slides in shows (the file number usually) it works fine when viewed on a pc screen but if I then burn the show to either VCD or DVD and play it on a TV I lose some of the filename. I’ve tried reducing the show to say 95 percent of the screen size, but although the slides reduce, the comment still stays right at the bottom and therefore still gets chopped. Is there any way around this please?
  2. Thanks…I’m already adding some photoshoped slides to give the appearance of a zoom, which works quite well, although they take a while to produce and of course we could also do what Ken has suggested and manually zoom into a DVD show…but, the facility to just add a built in zoom at a percentage rate from a chosen centre point would be a fantastic addition. Imagine being able to add a slide into a wedding show, that begins with the flowers and zooms out smoothly to reveal the Bride.
  3. I’ve seen a company who make promotional slideshows for businesses, which are shown on large screens in public places. Occasionally they zoom in on detail in a slide, which is really good as it gives the impression that it is a moving picture and therefore I was wondering whether it would be possible to add a zoom mode like this in PTE.
  4. Hi everyone I’m in the infant stages of using PTE to put together wedding preview shows for clients and am pretty impressed with how quick and easy they are to assemble. However I’d also like to offer a service of a more polished slide show movie, with blended pictures etc and am sure that many of you out there are already doing this. I’ve seen the show that Barry put together, which looks great, but was wondering if anyone knows of links to other wedding shows we can view? Also how long are most of you taking to put together a nice show with maybe 150 pictures blended together, with music etc? Thanks in advance
  5. Thanks for the reply Ron…it just seems strange that whenever I have hit the create button before, I have always been given a dialog box to choose where I wanted to save the finished file and with what name I chose, whereas now it just writes over the original file.
  6. I seem to be having trouble with the beta 7 version when I make changes to a show that I have already created. If I make changes to the order, or transitions, or music, whatever, then click the create button again, even if I have resaved the .pte file with another name, it just over writes the original .exe file. The only way I can get over it is to use the ‘file create slideshow as’ command. Also in both cases I get a little spike through my speakers as it creates.
  7. Just tried the new beta version and it does indeed auto rotate the images, so it’s just the lifting of photos that I need to work around. I made up a show with about 130 1DMk2 pictures, which was a breeze, although it was about 350 meg when finished. Fred, when you made up your shows for clients did you resize? Thanks
  8. Hi All I’m fairly new to PTE but have built a few shows with music to demonstrate my photography using version 4.2. However, I’m now looking to possibly use it as a way of proofing weddings, like Techman describes, in a simple way with no music, just the file numbers. I have seen Fotostation used for this purpose, but it only generates a Quicktime format movie in very low resolution, although it’s so easy to do and literally takes a couple of minutes. My thinking is that by using PTE I could simply select the folder that my pictures were in, set it up to show the file numbers and then let it create the file. This would be high resolution and self extracting, plus presumably I could also burn the movie onto DVD for viewing on a normal TV. Is anyone else doing this? The only concerns I have is how to rotate the portrait pictures automatically (did I see on here somewhere that the latest beta version did this). And also how vulnerable the pictures are at this resolution against being copied. I know that the print screen option can be stopped but is there still a way to print off the images? I’m aware that I could batch re-size but I’d like to make the task as simple and quick as possible. Thanks
  9. Hi I’m fairly new to pictures to P2exe and have a question relating to burning shows to DVD. I see that Unlead DVD MovieFactory is the recommended software for this purpose although I have a PC with a number of pre-installed programs which I believe maybe capable of achieving the same task. Power DVD5, Power Producer 2 Gold & Nero 6 all say they can read .avi files so I’d like to know if anyone is using any of these with any success, particularly if they have also used Movifactory.
