  1. Many thanks! It's strange because i haven't changed my email address for years. also the licence key for the laptop is different from the one on the desktop. Never mind, it worked. Many thanks.
  2. I have used 10.5.9 on a Mac mini for some time, running under OS 10.12.6. I have - temporarily in fact - a need to install 10.5.9 onto a MacBook Pro running 10.13.6. I cannot copy my licence from the Mac Mini - cannot select/copy - so may be misreading I and 1, or O and 0, etc but when trying to activate 10.5.9 on the MacBook Pro I get wrong or damaged licence number. As far as I can tell, I have tried all the combinations. I could run it as a trial, but will still need to activate to get rid of the trial banner. Any solutions?
  3. Thanks for the information about Plex. I'll do some more tests.
  4. Thank you all for your replies. My TV is also a Sony Bravia. I will look at Roku. Anyone use Plex for streaming slideshows?
  5. This may well be a problem caused by the smart TV .......... MP3 files acting as background music to slideshows work fine on my Mac, equally when sent via HDMI to my Sony smart TV (about 7 yers' old) When trying to play via the TV's usb port, pictures are fine, sound has random "bubbly" noises. (Easier to view a show via usb than via an HDMI cable trailing over the floor, and I am yet to get the MacBook Pro to see the TV, although my ancient Windows laptop which needs mains input all the time can) I have tried using different settings for the MP3 files but it persists. Using PTE current version on a 1012 Mac running 10.12.6. I'd be grateful for anyone who has had a similar issue and has solved it without replacing the TV! (E.g. a particular MP3 setting or using flac etc.
