  1. Ken, I will go back and try that but even if that does "fix it" I DO want to be able to use music in my slideshow and synchronize it so how would that be fixing it? I went back and removed the mp3 file and unsynched it and it worked. I don't understand why it's not working with that mp3 file because I use it all the time and have never had a problem with it. I guess I'll have to redownload it and try it again?
  2. I had to end up using a very poor slideshow program for my client today. I HAVE to get this issue fixed, I can't live without pic2exe. I've been running through all of the suggestions you all have given me and here's what I've found: *the timeline has all gaps as it should be so no problem there *I created the slideshow WITH music so yes it has music. The music will keep playing but the slideshow just stops at image #26. *This was NOT an existing slideshow, I just created it today. I looked at image 26 and there are no customizations to the slide. I always allow the program to synch it with the music. Any other suggestions?
  3. I’m trying to prepare a slideshow for a client coming today and my pic2exe keeps getting stuck on slide number 26 for some reason. It just sits there and won’t budge no matter how long you leave it. I’ve updated to the newest version and that didn’t fix it. Any ideas?
  4. Okay...I have read every word of this thread and I am still having trouble and am so frustrated. I have yet to be able to burn a DVD slideshow that will play in my DVD player from Pic2exe. I spent three hours yesterday with a friend over here and we were trying to figure out what we were doing wrong. We burned a DVD from an AVI file, a VCD and just a regular CD. I don't get it...what are we not doing right? I am Roxio Easy CD Creator 6 to burn and it is telling me that it has burned successfully but when I put it in my DVD player, I either get a blue looking computer screen with a folder and some numbers like and a button that says cancel or a message saying check disk. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening. I am using Sony DVD +R if that helps and have also used CD-R.
  5. Okay, I am really stressed right now and I don't need this- Can someone tell me why when I open P2E to work on a slideshow that I just put together last night and worked perfectly this morning, now tells me that the pictures cannot be found? It's really wierd because the first three pictures of the slideshow, the title page pics, are there and show up in the strip down at the bottom but then the actual pics themselves are not there and have the blue writing in the box that states the jpeg cannot be loaded and may be damaged. The funny thing is that I am sitting here looking AT the pics in the box above where all of your folders are. They are there, so why is it telling me they cannot be found? I saved it as a .pte and an .exe last night when I created it but when I open the .pte to work on it, it does the same thing. I have restarted my computer and everything I know of and no luck."
  6. Thank you everyone for your answers. I thought that I was very familiar with P2E until this situation arose. I had no idea how to remedy it and did not know about the .pt file. I actually do agree that this should be a sticky note thread as Brian noted with his statement that this is an all too common question. Did I not look well enough because I could not find anything in the help section within the program regarding this. If it isn't there it should be as this very well could be a common situation for persons who constantly work between a desktop pc and a laptop. Just an idea.
  7. A friend brought over a copy of her slideshow today which was a pte.file saved to a cd. When I insert the cd and try to open the file in P2E it tells me that the there is an error and the pictures cannot be found. The slideshow strip at the bottom is just white boxes with blue writing that says that the file cannot load and the jpg is damaged. I know it is not damaged but cannot figure out why I can't open her show on my computer. She needs me to burn a DVD show for her but I can't figure this one out. Anyone out there have a clue as to what is going on? I do have P2E on my computer. She just burned it to a cd as a PTE file. I tried copying the PTE file to a folder on my computer and then trying to open the file from the folder in P2E but no luck. Can you not burn a pte. file or an exe. file from P2E and take it to another computer and then have that person burn a dvd for you? Because P2E needs to be able to pull the "original" files from the source computer that the slideshow was made from and the files are contained? Is that what the error message is telling me?
  8. So what are the little buttons that you can add with object editor for if they don't work? Not understanding that. If I want my slideshow synchronized with music then the client can't also have control of the show after it is done? Is that right? You have to choose either one or the other? I wonder if I could make two slideshows, one to play through w/o control and then when that is finished they clink on a link that takes them to the other one where they have control. sound possible? I have customized the navigation bar and have it clicked for it to show but when I preview the slideshow the navigation bar is not there. Also, I have a 22 inch monitor, should I have my settings at a certain number to view best? Right not it is 1024x768.

  10. I would like for my client to be able to proceed through the slideshow via buttons after it has ended. I went into the object editor and added buttons that read "next image" and chose the action for this. When the slideshow is finished and I click on the button, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I want the client to have full control over the slideshow after it has played out. How can I accomplish this?
