  1. I got the same message here and from another forum from the same sender.
  2. I'll try to answer as many guesions as I can in 1 post. The music is "CRISTOFORI'S DREAM" by David Lanz The CD liner notes: In 1709 in Florence, Italy, a harpsichord builder named Bartolomeo Cristofori completed work on what is regarded as the first piano. He replaced the harpsichord's plucking mechanism with a hammer action that allowed keys to respond to varying degrees of pressure, resulting in a sound that could range from soft to loud. He further refined the instrument in 1726, installing knobs at both ends of the keyboard which became a forerunner to the soft pedal. Cristofori's work elicited little notice in his home country, where opera dominated public interest, and he died without fanfare at the age of 76 in 1731. "I cannot imagine the world without the piano. In my mind, it is the most divinely inspired instrument on earth, and Cristofori's work produced quantum-leap advance in its development. For the first piece on this album, I imagined Cristofori in his workshop late at night, putting away his tools and blowing out his candles after a long day of work, wondering to himself how his new instrument might sound. He drifts off into a deep sleep and in a dream he finally hears the depth and beauty of our modern piano. We all owe Cristofori a debt of gratitude, and this album is dedicated to him, a great inventor whom history has overlooked. May his 'dream' live forever." - David Lanz I choose it for the "dripping rain" sound I was trying to invoke at the beginning, and the emotional tone of the end The first half of the soundtrack was George Winston's' version of the Vince Guaraldi classic "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" Soundtrack for UWBestof is Telepopmusik " Breathe" Soundtrack for the Wind River's is the "Dances With Wolves" theme. Soundtrack for "The Seasons" is Mannheim Steamroller's "Mere Image" As far as cameras, yes the Wind River show spans ~ 35+ yrs and was mostly shot on Kodachrome 64 with a 1 lens Minolta SLR and is scanned from the slides. The same with the UW photo's, all are film, shot with an Ikelite UW housing, but all but 90% are shot on Fuji Velvia w/ a Nikon n90s. "The Seasons" was my first half and half foray into digital production. Half are digital, half are film. Half are Fuji Velvia slides shot from Nikon n90s w/ a plethora of lenses, and half are shot with a Fuji S2 with a plethora of lenses The 25 day self-supported Beartooth trip is the only full digital show of the 4 and is a compilation of my shots w/ a Nikon D2 and my wife's Canon IS2. Glad you enjoyed them. These were only produced to show my family what I've been up to, through the years, my annual "Xmas cards" for the most part. If they appealed to all of you than I'm doubly blessed.
  3. 25 days of backpacking the Beartooth Plateau of Montana, USA http://onbelaydave.home.comcast.net/~onbel...bBeartooths.exe Diving the Caribbean http://onbelaydave.home.comcast.net/~onbel...ve/UWBestof.exe 35 + yrs of hiking/climbing the Wind River Range of WY,USA http://onbelaydave.home.comcast.net/~onbel...Webwindslrg.exe The Seasons; a compilation of photo's of the Front Range of Colorado http://onbelaydave.home.comcast.net/~onbel.../NewSeasons.exe Enjoy !
  4. Thanks for all the comments everyone ! A few details per requests. 50% of the photo's were taken with a Fuji S2 DSLR, 25% from scanned Provia slide film shot w/a Nikon N90s, and the other 25% were taken with my new Nikon D2x. All cameras use the same Nikon len's and MANY were used. 99% of the photos were taken in the Front Range of Colorado, USA either in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Rawah Wilderness, or the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The only exceptions are 2 photo's from the Zirkel Wilderness E of Steamboat, and 2 photo's from the Flat Tops Wilderness, SW of Steamboat. The vast majority were taken deep in the backcountry, on backpacking trips of up to 1 week.
  5. Please give me your opinions. Download here http://home.comcast.net/~onbelaydave/NewSeasons.exe
  6. Got it figured out ! It was Comcast's HTTP uploader. An exe. file has to be uploaded in binary . I was using Comcast's "Upload Your files Here" button and the coding was getting screwed up. (Thanks to Larry of Allenhost.com for figuring out what the problem was !) As soon as I tried it through an FTP it was fine. BTW, Comcast allows 25MB and the exe. file was only 15.5 so I knew that wasn't the problem. Thanks for the suggestions though !
  7. I just created and uploaded my first presentation but when I download it and try to run it I get "Exception EListError in module Cali.exe at 00073A1C. List index out of bounds(0)" . I've tried deleating the file and re-uploading it but continue to get the same error message. Any ideas ? I'm using my online storage at Comcast if it makes any difference.
