  1. sorry if this has been discussed before, couldnt find a thread so hopefully not going over old ground.

Is it possible to have some kind of indication on a slide to indicate that some animation takes place on it. eg a red outline . I find it difficult to remember which slides have been augmented when returning to a project after a lay off. yes i know i should write it down but am not always that organised. also if you have a long sequence with a number of slides enhanced its easy to forget as you get senior moments

    thanks

  2. have used a program at school called revelation sight and sound. company is logotron it has a pan and zoom facility which is really easy to use. you get two of the same images in a window, then draw rectangle wher you want to start and then on other image the end point, rostrum camera effect sorry not explained very well. it is very intuative , any chance of this simple style interface? thanks

  3. Have to say....I enjoyed the creativity of this show....good to see something with a humourous theme and done nicely too.....well done! :)

Just noticed that this has been around some while....and there's another thread on the subject....apologies

many thanks , the version that is on now is an altered one so the originalthread is refering to the older version which wasnt as effective " i think!"

  5. I have been trying to upload my first slide show to Beechbrook but find that it is taking ages. After two attempts of approx. 30 mins I have given up. Is this to be expected?

I am using 1 MB broadband.

I have used a trial version of WinZip (never zipped before only unzipped).

The show comprises of 50 slides (average size 400 kb) and an mp3 music file of 63,544 kb.

When I zip the “MyFile”.exe” file which is 27.8 MB it only packs to 25.3 MB as the “MyFile”.zip file. Should I be zipping the “MyFile”.pte (only 17kb – I can’t believe that this is big enough!) file rather than the .exe file?

The PTE Upload Guidelines at Beechbrook do refer to PTE files but not specifically as extensions.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

    John

sent cheshire cats last weekn only problem i had was of my making i hadnt added the extension .zip to the file name it didnt take long to upload . i zipped the exe file and called it cheshire cats.zip
