  1. Hi Lin Thanks for your help. I am going to have to come back to this as I am running out of time on the project I am working on. Cheers Alistair
  2. Hi Lin It is set to 4:3. What is puzzling when I i open the file list the thumbnail is in a widescreen format, but not when viewed in File Explorer. Baffled. The video plays in 4:3 in VLC! Thanks Alistair
  3. When I import a video clip created in Moviemaker into P2E the aspect ratio changes from 4:3 to 16:9. Optimisation makes no difference. How can I prevent this from happening? Thank you for your help
  4. Is it possible to apply a mask to a whole sequence? Thank you.
  5. Thanks for that I have just spent 3 days trying to create an AVI file for a Powerpoint presentation. I thought I had lost the plot. Look forward to v7.5.
  6. Hi All I am pleased to have triggered off an interest in Stop Frame animation! Thank you for your valuable information. I have been experimenting quite a bit and have managed achieve my objective. To answer the question about converting Video to JPG, I use the freeware software "DVD Video Soft Free Studio" www.dvdvideosoft.com, works a treat. I did not realise you could use SUPER © for the same purpose. I use it for converting AVI's to MP4 and MOV formats avaliable at http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html. Thanks again for the info. Alistair
  7. Hi Peter. Thank you for responding. See my response to Tom.
  8. Thank you for your reply. I think I may have confused you by using the term layers. I was paraphrasing the respondent in the thread that I quoted and not referring to Photoshop layers. As I understand it there is a way of using "Objects and Animation" facility in P2E to create fast transitions up to 30 frames /sec. I have fiddled with the settings in "project options" but I can not get the effect I am looking for. There was a demo animation in the thread that created in this way which was just what I am looking for. But unfortunately I can not work out how to do it in "Objects and Animation". It may help if you check out the thread I referenced. Thanks again for your response.
  9. Hi I would like to use P2E to create stop frame animations based on time lapse images. I read in an old thread where they suggest using layers to achieve a fast smooth transition between frames. I am struggling to understand how to achieve this in v6.5. Help would be appreciated.
  10. Bingo. Your suggestion worked a treat. Thanks Brian and thanks to Igor for his personal reply. It's great to be back using PTE, congratulations on a fantastic piece of software and an an amazingly useful Forum. All the best. Alistair (Arterial)
  11. After a bit of a lay off I am trying to get back into PTE. I have a big project on which will be made much easier with the new lightbox facility in PTE but I can not get v4.31 to run. I have run v4.14 with out problem but having upgraded to v4.31 the programme crashes with the error message "APR caused a general protection fault in module V128IID.DRV at 002:00009492". I am running the programme under W98SE on a Dell Dimension XPS R450. I have made sure the audio and video drivers are the most current versions but to no avail. I can still run v4.14 OK. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in anticipation Arterial
