  1. LumenLux, I had never twigged what "permit control of show" meant before. Now I know - and it works a treat! Hawk, Had not experimented with GOTO buttons to date, but will now - that's a much more focused way of doing what I was trying to do. Thank you both for your prompt replies and solutions to my problem. You can tell a good product from the quality of its user forum . Cheers, Alan
  2. I apologise if this has been answered directly before, but did not quite see this slant... I'm very happy with snchronising slides to audio in the timeline (audio recording/editing is my major interest, and PTE's sync capability is a breath of fresh air after strugging for years with PowerPoint). Some of my slideshows are narrated, and viewers may wish to skip any number of slides to get to the part they want. As far as I can see, the navigation bar (which I always wish to use) does not work for a sync'd show. Is this correct? If not, how do I use it; and if so, is it in the list for the new version? Would it also be possible to (optionally) override transitions when using the "skip slide" navigation button, for speed of access. Once again sorry if I've misunderstood something. Regards, Alan Hames
  3. Jean-Claude What a truly remarkable application - just what I was looking for! Merci beaucoup! Alan
  4. Thanks for the welcome and feedback, Ken. P2E is an excellent tool and I'm using it every day. My slide numbering system hinges around date-and-subject folder names, and leaving image file names as per camera source. As I may use a given image file in a variety of presentations, and may want different comment text in each application, I'm reluctant to mess with file names. Another way of looking at this would be to have a set of "tags" representing image file data (filename, file time, even EXIF parameters), which could be added as required to the comment line. This is common in other applications - tags are used for inserting date/frame info into titles in the video editing software I use. They're even used in this message board system! I readily admit that I was remiss in not doing regular saves during the edit session I mentioned in my post. Cheers, Alan
  5. Have just spent 2 hours adding comments to a 570 slide presentation. These suggestions arise from that exercise. 1. Is there a facility to select a number of slides and add a common comment to (only) them. If not, that's a suggestion for the next version. 2. At the end of the 2 hours, I made the (easy) mistake of toggling the "set comments to... picture name" and immediately lost all 570 comments. Can you add an "are you sure" dialogue to this? Or better still... 3. Why not have comments that stay as what they were, and have a separate slide name field. The display choice would then be to select between comments and slide filenames without overwriting the comments. Thanks, Alan
