  1. AL Thanks for the response and the link. It seems I'll have to live without p2e on my XDA for a while yet, but at least I can use the info contained in the thread to which you directed me, to convince my wife that I could realy use a laptop. Thanks. Alan
  2. does anyone know if it's possible to install & run a 2.3mb p2e.exe file on a pocket PC (32mb, microsoft pocket windows, etc). I have tried but apparently the p2e.exe file isn't pocket PC compatible, Is there an easy way to convert the file, as I don't have a laptop I reckon this would be an ideal way to show images to potential clients who don't have access to a PC. Alan
  3. Charles I had the same problem with a slide show I created a while back. The title page had both a background image & text, which was created in object editor, when viewed on my computer both the image & text were centered on screen as they should have been but when viewed on a friends computer only the image was centered, with the text both enlarged an overlapping onto the right hand side of the screen. I noticed that not only was the text enlarged & off centre, but it was also a different font from the one I had written the text with (Times N/R instead of the script font I had used). I assumed from this that maybe P2E doesn't embed the fonts within the presentation but looks for them on the host computer, I then changed the title font to a more universal font (Arial, I think)? and it cured the problem, In this instance anyway. Alan
  4. Tim I asked the same question a few weeks ago, check out "P2E on an imac?" on page 3 of this forum. Perhaps you could download the demo version, try it out, and post the results back here. Alan
  5. I am also interested in using suitable background music for wedding slideshows, and I have been in touch with the 'Performing Rights Society' (Scotland) who reckon because i'm producing a visual presentation I should contact a company called VPL (Video/Visual production Licensing?) anyway they informed me that as my intended purpose wasn't to produce a video/movie they couldn't issue a licence, and I should contact their sister company PPL (???) who arent sure if they are authorised to issue a music licence for a digital computer based photographic slideshow. Can anyone provide details/contact no's of the correct licensing authorities in Scotland/UK Thanks Alan
  6. Thanks for the information Scotty. I have sent a P2E slideshow to a customer who requested a copy to run on his imac, which is running windows (emulator?) I don't know the full specs of his machine but I have requested some feedback and I will post the results shortly (I hope) Cheers Alan
  7. I have had a request for a Slideshow of wedding photo's from a client who has an I-mac which is running windows. (emulator?) Will a Pictures to Exe. presentation be compatible with his setup. Thanks Alan
