Hello, I've just recovered from a terrible computer crash and am just now getting caught up to where I was before. I last used PTE even before 5.1 was released and now I hear there is going to be a 5.2! I don't have the Video Builder and notice it is only free for 2 years. Is there going to be any new features for the Video Builder in 5.2? If so I think I'll wait until then as I don't need to burn Dvds right away. Thanks in advance for any advice! -Jon

Colin, I also used Proshow at first but liked the quality better in PTE. I started off in 4.48 but went up to the beta when I had trouble burning Dvds. Unfortunately there is alot of stuff that is not turned on in the beta yet but will be in the future. So do not give up! It looks like things will just be getting better from here. -Jon

Lin, thank you for the information! I will definitely give that software a try. But I have to admit that you have left me more confused than ever. Are you saying that if I have any low resolution pictures that PTE can't handle them? What happens then? Do I have to convert them to a higher resolution? What part of the computer does the hardware rendering? Is there a way to do rendering with hardware and software at the same time? Sorry for so many questions! I have been learning how to use the beta version and I just can not figure out how to import video files. I am guessing this has not been turned on yet. Will this be turned on in the future? Is there some other way I can get video files to work? Thank you to anyone who can help! -Jon

Thanks Al. It is disappointing that I can not use captions in teh beta version but that gives me something to look forward to. I guess I will just make do until then because I just love how good everything looks! When is the next version going to be released, anyway? -Jon

Hello Al, I hate to bother you again but I downloaded version 5 and opened up my project. My captions were missing though. I looked everywhere and could not find a way to add them back. Can you tell me what I did wrong? Thanks again. -Jon

Hello! I am new to this group and Pictures To Exe. So far I really like this program. When I play the show back full screen it looks better than any other program I have used. The only problem is I can not burn a Dvd. I figured out how to get the screen where the Dvd window comes up but then it tells me I need another program to burn it with and I do not have any of them. Can anyone help me out? Thanks for any answers I get. -Jon
