  1. A very enjoyable show - enough said.
  2. Hi Eric, Barry's Promos are great but his CD's, which you have to buy, are worth their weight in gold. I found the video clips easy with a little help from his relevant CD which I thoroughly recommend to all. Steve.
  3. Absolutely fabulous - an example for all to learn from. Steve
  4. Hi Gary, I'm sorry for the headaches my show has caused you. I have downloaded it several times and it plays fine on my desktop. BUT I have found that on at least two occasions during playback I have got a WARNING from"Microsoft Security Essentials Alert" that my computer has THREE VIRUSES AND THAT i SHOULD CLICK TO PREVENT A SYSTEM CRASH. This is clearly a threat. I close down my computer and do a malware check and there are NO Virus/trojans. THIS HAS ONLY EVER HAPPENED AFTER DOWNLOADING FROM MEDIAFIRE. I have nothing further that I can add but I do hope the show was of some interest. Regards, Steve.
  5. Hi Eric, I enjoyed this show - think this is the inland end of the Manchester Ship Canal? I think that the videos of the motor launch and of the Canada geese were suitable for video clips but I would suggest, perhaps when you are more confident with your new camera, a technique I suggested in a recent demo show called River Mouse can make for improved continuity of the video clip. The technique is to take a still of the subject and then immediately press the video button and take a suitable length. In the show add the still in the Slide List then go into O&A and add the video here. Sorry to be presumptive but test it - you may like it. Regards, Steve.
  6. I have reduced the resolution of a clip in the middle which may have caused the trouble. I hope you will try again. Regards, Steve.
  7. I have reduced the resolution on a clip in the middle which may have caused the trouble I hope you will try again. regards, Steve
  8. For those who had a catastrophic failure I have reduced the resoulution on a slide in the middle of the show. hope you will try it again This is part of a much fuller av but emphasising just the video aspects to illustrate my current technique which consists of taking a still shot then with no other camera change pressing the video button. In the show I usually show the still then break into the video My hope is to use video effectively but not to overdo it. Although a part is not too photogenic it is important for the overall story when completed. The clip labelled aeration weir uses a mask to allow part of the vegetation to move in the breeze while the rest remains static. Other clips are full screen. AR 16:9, 5 min to download. Comments are invited. It can be found at http://www.mediafire.com/?tfeqrun83bd87hb Steve Alexander
  9. Thanks Gayland, comments appreciated. Steve
  10. Hi Ken, Thanks for your comments and the info. I will look it up. Steve
  11. A tourist visit to Cambridge. The captions were designed with our local Scottish audience in mind. Mechanics: 100 MB, downloads in 6 minutes, run-time 6 min, 70 1mages, manual override, Aspect ratio 15-10, some animation, watch the penultimate slide! It can be found here http://www.mediafire.com/?raq90e1tan133f7 Steve Alexander
  12. Just a small garden but with some interesting animation. For reasons I do not understand it took me 28 minutes to download maybe it's due to the animation. Hope you enjoy the animation. It can be found at http://www.mediafire.com/?rdour8ilo9zizvu Mechanics: 59 MB, 4:3, Steve Alexander
  13. Hello there, You are going to get many very large MB shows with the advent of Video - no way out of it. But sufficient details should be published. Steve Alexander.
  14. I don't see the point of watching a video inside PTE. This not saying don't use videos it is saying make any video content relevant to at least that part of the show. In this show the video is competeing with a nearly non-existent slide show.
