I solved the problem below thanks to a comment in my other post. When I double let clicked on each problem image in the Lightbox view, the Customize box comes up. On the MainTab it says Display Slide for (sec.) With all the problematic slides, this was set to zero. When I switch it to 4 seconds, all of the problems above are eliminated. I never once had this problem with previous versions. So here is the question: Is there a way to customize all of the images at once as a batch so that I do not have to click on each one to check? Below is the original problem that I have solved. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. later and love, Arthur Morris/BIRDS AS ART aka: artie ps: I edited this so that folks would not be wasting their time. I was able to solve my original problem (below) by starting from scratch with a new file but I am now experiencing two new problems. I create my 1400 X 1050 Slide Show JPEGs via one of two actions, one on the office computer and one on the laptop. They are essentially the same (but the fact that they may be slightly different has no impact on the problem as you will see below). I take a few images into Photoshop and run the action on them. I bring them to the folder for the program that I am creating. They all show up in the directory. I highlight them and hit "Add." That brings them to the Lightbox as it should. I can see them in the proper spot in the show on the Lightbox. On two different occasions when I hit Preview or when I saved and ran the slide shows, one of the slides did not appear in the show. All slides optimized as TIFFs, all ran through the same action, all appear in the Lightbox, and on the two different occasions, one does not show up in either the Preview or the Saved Slide Show. Again, I am baffled. And a possibly related issue; In Project Options I click on the box that says "Permit Control of Show Using Keyboard." (I always use a Logitech clicker to advance the slides.) It is my understanding that I should always be able to go back as far as I want by hitting the Left Arrow but whether I am in Preview or have saved the slide show, there comes a point where I can not longer go backwards. In various shows it always gets stuck at the same slide. I can always go forward. I gotta say that the worst thing that I ever did was download a new version of Pix to Exe a few years back. My initial version, not sure which, made the shows perfectly every time. About three versions ago I began having problems that have been quite challenging as I make a living at photography.... I am running 16-bit Vista now.
