  1. Granot: Adding the 10 frames of black took care of my problem. It works great now. Thanks. I look forward to any new additions you might create that help with using flash in PTE. The "FlashmeStay.exe" really made things simple. Joe
  2. Granot: Thanks for the reply. I was indeed talking about "FlashmeStay". I tried the trick you mentioned about adding one black slide and unchecking the image with a black background. I will go back to my credit flash and add the 10 frames that you mentioned with black color and see if that will do the trick. I will let you know. If it still doesn't work I will write to you about your new file. I'm off to work now so I'll get on this as soon as I can. Thanks again for all your programs and your personal help. Joe
  3. I have tried Flashme4 and have a problem. I have an opening flash, the presentation and then the closing flash. Everything goes fine until the closing flash begins. When it starts it shows for an instant the last frame of the opening flash. It is just a split second but it shouldn't be there. Then the closing flash starts as it should. I tried putting a black slide as my last slide in the presentation but that didn't help. Is this a problem with my flash or is this occuring in the Flashme4. Anyone else have this problem or any suggestions? Thanks. Joe
  4. My top 3 would be: light/dark table with thumbnail of slide ken burn effect (zoom and pan) Tom K's suggestion about the ability to move and manipulate slides on the timeline, with the timeline showing the waveform Thanks for asking. Joe
  5. Boxig, Jim and Marianne: Thanks for the replies to my original post. I have tried Boxig's SopaDarkTable and found it useful. It's good to be able to arrange the images in the order that works best for a project. I wanted to try Alrobin's Adjustor but if my memory serves me it required Excel, which I don't have available. I am working on a project now and have been laying things out like a storyboard. I plan on paper which image to use, where to place it (as an object). transitions and timing. Then I go into P2E and start inserting everything according to my worksheet. After that I do as you mention Marianne. I view the project over and over making slight adjustments to tweak things. Laying it out on paper has been worth the effort. I don't get quite as confused as before when I would just take the images in a folder, put them into the project, then start to move them up and down until I got the order that I wanted. Then it was a matter of working on the transitions and using images as objects for exact placement. I thought perhaps I was the only unorganized person who had been starting prljects without a clear idea of beginning, middle and end. Thanks again for the replies. I'd be interested to hear how others proceed with their projects. Joe
  6. I have been using P2E for a few months and usually import pictures into a folder, rearrange them for proper flow, then begin working with each picture for effects, transitions, timing, etc. Some of Boxig's programs have been invaluable aids in the process. I find however that I spend a lot of time previewing the project over and over, each time making only slight changes to number of seconds a picture is on screen or how to transition to the next photo. I was curious how some of the more intensive, professional appearing slideshows are created. Do users begin with a storyboard and lay out all of the pictures on paper? Perhaps printed as thumbnails with screen placement and transitions notated by each picture. Or it is more of a trial and error procedure while repeatedly previewing the project as it unfolds. I don't know if it is worth a discussion but I'd like to hear some member suggestions on their ways of working on a project from conception to completion.
  7. THis is my first posting since I purchased PTE. I have learned a lot over the past months reading all of the posts about PTE and it's many features. I'm hoping someone can help with my latest frustration. I have used flash in PTE shows with no problems. I can create a PTE show to play on the computer and then copy the show to a CD for use in other computers. I now want to put the show on a VCD. However when I try to encode to create a VCD the flash animation does not appear. I assume that another encoding or process is needed. Can anyone suggest a means of accomplishing this? Hopefully without spending money on an additional program. I am using the latest beta #7 of PTE and Swish-lite to create the .swf file. Thanks. Joe
