Roslyn...

Roslyn Chapel is one of my very favourite days out. I just love the place.

In 2008 however photography was banned in the chapel due to a number of accidents. Photographer's reviewing their screens rather than looking where they were going!!!

There is a disc you can now buy with 70 HD images, but these remain copyrighted, and 70 simply isnt enough for Roslyn. Photography outside the chapel is of-course unrestricted.

In this 'show ' I have applied the lessons and movements I've been picking your brains for over the last week, so there are some 'Bells and Whistles '.

I would recommend a visit to Roslyn to all who can get to it.

Roslyn Chapel:

20.36meg

38 slides [some with animation]

4 minutes 10 seconds

Soundtrack: The Da Vinci Code

Hello Andrew, I just watched your Mac version of your presentation. Incredible! and very interesting and the sound track WOW! Andrew, it is appearing that Macs and PTE are very compatible and all we need now is a stand alone version. I really appreciate all of you who are sharing your very artistic work with us, the Mac guys! Thanks Bill

Andrew,

Another great AV.

It would have been easy to overcook effects. You got it spot on.

The different image sizes, placement and structure worked well.

Music choice was spot on too.

An added bonus was the storyline with the Apprentice's Pillar.Very interesting.

If I had to change anything it would be the opening pages with text.

Starts off as Red text and then to black which sort of overlaps as it fades in/out.

For the Storyline text maybe a nice aged scroll, with a slow pan towards the text at the bottom of the page.

Seen this clip from the 'Scotsman on Sunday.post-6645-126644278198_thumb.jpg

Very interesting.

Well done,

Davy

My fault, I must be more careful when showing the wonderful work posted here on the PTE Forum - to my camera club - and clearly state where they come from and who the author is.

BTW, Just so you know, I download AV's from the PTE forum and if I think they merit a 'show' at the camera club, I always offer feedback. In most cases it is here on the forum, but sometimes (at the members request) is sent my private message.

In order to learn from each other, I think 'general' feedback should be open to all. While I understand the requirement for specific feedback to be private, I strongly suspect that such feedback would generate debate and help other's.

Clearly I cannot show all the shows posted here to my camera club, I must select them myself. But if you have a show that you would like feedback on, then please let me know.

Hi Andrew

Liked your show especially as I’m a stone mason and anything regarding ecclesiastical stonework is of great interest to me. I have heard of the story about the apprentice stonemason being murdered by the master mason and it was nice to have it verified in your presentation. Thought the music enhanced a very pleasurable show.
