I'm looking for subjects for a new show & remembered one I saw when I was a member of the Middlesborough AV group called CHOLESTEROL or something similar. If I could get a copy I wouldn't need to make my own version, but as an alternative could use it as a template for my own version. I've searched the PTE show archives but it isn't on there, can anyone help?

I've now found the song on Amazo so I've decided to make my own version tailored to my audience ;)/>

The show you are looking for was made by the late Geoff Burdis, a member of Northallerton Camera Club. He didn't use PTE so finding a copy will not give you a template that you could then use as the basis of your own production.

regards,

Peter

Thanks Peter, sorry to hear Geoff had died, ironic he should produce such a show then die young. I think template was the wrong term, after I found the song it all came together & I'm in full flow, hope to finish it tomorrow.

Hi all,

Do I have the temerity to point out that in your delightful image of chocolate etc. that cholesterol is not the problem with that delectable treat, it's the sugar! Sugar is worse than cholesterol for heart trouble, but not many know that.

Happy Christmas,

Colin

Sorry Colin, but those are the words of the song "About changing the food that I eat, Cutting out cheese and no chips if you please, No chocolate, no ice cream, no meat" !!!

Happy Cholesterol Free Christmas (I think not) ;)/>

18months ago I received a final warning from above, I collapsed & a heart murmur was diagnosed. The consultant said with my present weight, my chances of recovering from heart surgery were slim (no pun intended). So like I did with smoking in 1984, I resolved to lose weight, since then I've lost 2 1/2 stones & hope to lose a couple more to reach the target for my age & height. I can now walk without my knees giving up the ghost & having to sit down every 100 yards. Christmas is almost upon us, for many another week of indulgance will kill us off. For myself I will celebrate with moderation, then spend a month getting rid of what I put on over the festive season, hopefully this show may be a wake up call to those who need to do something drastic to improve their health & prolong their life. It's set in a comic tone, but the message is serious.

Mechanics

24mb Mediafire download, 4m run time 3 video clips, 41 slides, 1 song track mixed with the sound from the videos.

Eric,a very good wakeup warning for those of us that tend to get our money's worth at the table, and get little to no exercise. (both describe me)

Thanks for sharing, and a Merry and healthy Christmas, robertg.

Thanks Robert, glad you enjoyed it. Just collected my weight watchers Christmas dinner, Crab & Scallop Rissotto, followed by Panacota, + 1 glass of Garnacha red. Happy Christmas.
