[FREE] Sweep effect

Here is a template for a new "transition effects" for 2 pics.

It's a kind of "sweep" effect. See the thumbnail.

What I can tell you is that it is NOT a simple Pan & Zoom,

there is a "circle animation" effect for both pictures (with graduate opacity).

You can use this template for landscape and portrait pictures,

whatever their sizes (I recommend 1024 width or less).

Compared to my initial try (see here - thanks a lot to those who gave me their feedback :)),

I finally slowed down the effect a little bit.

If it's still not satisfying, please do not hesitate to tell me. :)

UPDATE :

The archive includes now two templates :

Depending on the effect you want to have

- FAST version : transition effect : 2 sec, image displayed : 3.5 sec

- SLOW version : transition effect : 4 sec, image displayed : 5 sec

You can mix the templates and use fast AND slow slides in the same project.

The demo included in the archive is an example of mixed fast and slow slides.

Please, have a look at the README file included in the archive, there are important instructions.

Enjoy ! :)

It's very difficult for me to explain what the effect consists in but I think the thumbnail speaks for itself.

Very nice, theDom! I can see using this effect on occasion. I think I would still like it slower yet. Don't know if that is customisable or not.

By the way, you said you didn't know how to describe this. I would call it a "sweep" effect.

Nice work.

I totaly agree, this effect is not supposed to be used for a whole slideshow but only occasionaly for a couple of slides.

The time display is not really customisable... until the "spread keypoints" feature is activated (for the final release I think).

You can add pan/zoom/rotate on the picture (see "readme" file in the archive).

Right now, the animation is 2 sec long and the images are displayed for 3.5 secs.

Could you please tell me what would be the right timing for you ?

I will include a "slow" version.

Thank you, I modified my description.

And thanks for your feedback. :)

I'm just guessing, but I would think an animation of 4 seconds and a display of 5 secs "feels" about right in my mind's eye.

I guess I'll have to learn about the "spread keypoints" feature. That doesn't sound familiar. I'll do a search.

Thanks! ;)

Thanks, theDom! The slow version looks perfect for my senses!

I will try soon! ;)
