  1. Likely this has been discussed before but I can't find it. I have a wedding to shot next month and I would like to know if anyone has experience with HUDs or video glasses? I have modified a mono-pod for use as a portable camera jib for one of my small video cameras and think video glasses may be a better option to see what the camera sees. I would like not to fall over something or someone while moving around. If so, what would be the recommendations. Thanks, George

    AVCHD

I recently purchased the Canon Vixia HF S21 camcorder for wedding work and am very hopeful Igor and the team will work AVCHD 1080i and m2ts into PTE. In the mean time, can anyone explain the best conversion process to allow that format to work with Beta 7 as it now exist. Thanks, George
  4. I'm not quite sure how to search for what I need but the short search I did turned up no help. I want to have an image come from behind one object and move back in front of the same object - from back layer around the middle layer to the top layer. I have all the objects saved in PNG and brought them in from "add image" in "Objects and Animations". Of coarse I can move them up and down in the stack or layers but how to change the layer order as it players? Thanks, George
  5. For instance if I want to set all image borders to 10 and color to blue or set all animation in the “Zoom tab” to “slow down” for all slides, is there a way make it universal for all slides in a sequence with one setup? George
  6. Wholesale settings Is there a way to set some or all settings in objects & animation as a whole for all slides as opposed to making adjustments individually on each slide? Thanks, George
  7. Hi Lisa, This seems a good place to throw in my 2 cents worth. If you are concerned about the viewer thinking the quality of your work not being up to par, then just add a generic high resolution image up front with a notation that it is typical of the quality that can be expected of the final production. George
  8. I downloaded the last previous version only to discover my problem was when I ticked the “Auto hide navigation bar after:” box. If I leave it unchecked, all is well. Must be the wrong time of the month. George
  9. I did 2 versions of the show and tried them on 3 separate computers. Both shows have 1 mp3 I put together in Sound Forge. All computers give the same error code as above. If I do not sync audio to timeline, all is well. George
  10. Sorry about that Marian, Win XP Pro - P4 3 gig Hyper threading – 1 gig of ram dual channel. George
  11. It been awhile since I checked in but I ran into a problem on my last show-latest version of PTE. I get the error below when I lock the music to the time line. I tried different clips and ran the show on two computers – same response. The show runs fine only it pops up the error window about 2 slides into the show. I do have to use the three finger salute to exit or wait for the show to finish to get back control. I need to get it running properly as it is to be used in Singapore on Tuesday and no I have not searched past posts! Access violation at address 00471057 in module ‘Singapore_rock.exe’. Read of address 00000044. George
  12. I have 2 Philips DVP642 progressive scan DVD players I picked up at Wally World “WalMart” for around $60 bucks. They have played anything I have put in them including AVIs, JPGs, VCDs, SVCDs and DVDs. I sometimes burn a test DVD on a DVD-RW and run it in the Philips before committing the show to an R disk. This may not pertain only to the Philips, but I can burn any show that will fit on a CD using a DVD mode and I am hard-pressed to tell the difference from DVD. I can save several AVIs to a disk and it will play each. We have as many as three full length movies on one disk that look as good to me as DVD. This player will also find jpeg files buried in directories and play them in a slide show. I am very pleased with them. George
  13. Hi David, I'am attempting to emulate a zoom in PTE. I ran a batch file or action on an image where I made a new layer and scaled it up in 1% increments. I can generate dozens of slides in just a few seconds. When I run the resulting set of slides in PTE with just a straight cut, it looks so so. It will take many slides for a 1 second zoom to look right. It will really depend on how fast PTE can play a slide. If this works then it would allow us to also use the same technique to do a pan or a combination pan/zoom. Some of you Photoshop gurus should take up the challenge. George
  14. I have posted this on PhotoShop forums but up to now received no response. At least we can usually get a reply here even if not the answer! I want to run an action many times and have it saved each time the action loops. Does someone know how to make “actions” in PhotoShop 7 or 8 save to incremental file names? Thanks, George
  15. Steve, Ulead DVD Movie Factory 3 and several other programs will allow you to write a file to either/or. As a rule I will burn an image to the hard drive at the same time I burn the DVD. George
