  2. Creating exe for PC's - limitated size??

    This week I created I show with about 380 slides (pictures and videos).

    I used the picture-files in original-size (4608x3072, JPG, 90%).

    The size off all the stuff was about 3,6 GB.

    Creating the exe needs a very long time.

    Playing the show, I saw, there was no navigation bar.

    And in the last part (last 50-100 slides) of the show all pictures were missing (blue placeholder).

    Is there a size limit for exe-Files?

    Seeing K4 is coming, I want to use original-size-files.

    I will not make the shows new in some years.

    Style window

    Sorry for my bad English. I think there is an misunderstanding.

    I mean this:

    Hold the style window open when you apply the styles to the slides.

    For me it is circuitous, to select one ore more pictures, open style window, apply the style, select another slides, open style-window, apply the style, select slides, open style-window and so on.

    This would be more comfortable:

    Open style-window, select one ore more slides, apply style (and window is always open), select one or more slides, apply style an so on.

    You can do this with PSP in a certain way, but there you can go to the next slide in the style-window.

    It would be very comfortable, if it would be possible to hold the style window open and attach different styles to the slides without closing and opening the style window again and again.

    And it would be very nice, if you can open the style window in "object and animation" mode.

    I agree with THEDOM.

    For me three new functions are a big step forward:

    - first of all style manager ( I could not say, how important is is for me. It save so much time. For me style manager means V10)

    - Blur (very nice)

    - audio envelope

    Interface is not a hype, but this is not so important for me.

    Important is the outcome.

    I also have the other very professional program you mean.

    But I use it very rarely.

    And now with PTE V8 perhaps no more.

    Since some years I said: please give us a group function.

    I wait up to today.

    PTE has it (frame).

    And the exe-files works much more smooth for me in PTE.

    And so on.

  15. Recover a defect project?

    I worked on a new show. After a windows crash with blue-screen and restarting windows, I am unable to reload the project. PTE crashes every time, I tried to open the project. I opened the project with an editor. There i only one line with Nul Nul Nul Nul ... and so on. In the preferences I made the entry "autosave every 1 minute". Where can I find an auto-backup of my show, if there is one.

    I have a question to the function "text comment" in the defaults of the "Project options".

    If I insert template "<%MainImg.Exif.Time%>", then the time of the last change (last time I saved the file).

    But I need the Original time of taking the pictures.

    Can someone tell me the correct code?

    "%MainImg.Exif.TimeOriginal%" or "%MainImg.Exif.OriginalTime%" produces no correct result.

    I didn't want to start a discussion, which make pressure to Igor.

    I thought, I had overlooked something.

    Yes, it would be very helpful, if there would be a shortcut in the "normal" window, or better a funktion "Cover Slide" or "Fit Slide" in the project options.

    But I can wait.

  22. Very good handling of extreme wide pictures

    I made a show with an extreme wide panorama.

    The panorama I used, has a size of 23558x1600 pixels (199,46x13,55 cm by 300 dpi).

    And the pc-exe show play very well with my low-end graphic card (Geforce GT 220).

    No jerks. Fantastic.

    I have another slide-show program.

    And this is a professional one.

    But it can not ply such wide panoramas.

    Exe-player crashes each time.

    I am very impressed about your template.

    Thank you very much.

    I never would had the idea for that,

    but it's very easy to rebuild it for myself.

    Unfortunately at this step of the capability oft 3D it seems not possible to make a 3D-Shadow for the whole cube-object.
