Hey, thanks to all of you above for the information and my friend is also grateful also. My future son and law who will be building my new computer is coming over from Houston, Texas and needs to know some information about the speed and power of my new computer for this new version 5.0. I tried to do a search for threads but came up with errors. So just let me know what you have that works like that most important graphic video card. Harry

A good friend of mine wants to put some slide presentations on her web site but says this: Not all web browsers will show exe files. Therefore it's best to convert them to flash which can be done with this particular software. She also further states this: The best way I can suggest (MY FRIEND) at present is to save the slideshow as an AVI then convert it to Flash. There are a number of conversion utilities but personally I like Riva Producer Lite. Riva is available for about $30 and includes a free player which resides on your web site. P2E creates executable code which can't be run on the web - at least not on the vast majority of servers. So to make a show which can be web compatible you need either an html version (loose the nice transitions), a Flash or Java conversion of either an AVI or MPG3 or MPG4. Since P2E can export the file show to an AVI format, you can use conversion software such as Riva Producer Lite to convert the AVI movie to Flash. Then the slideshow can be played over the web. Necessarily there will be a decrease in image quality because the full sized files require so much memory and such that few would be able to play them at full resolution. Generally a 640x480 or somewhere in that file matrix dimension will be satisfactory. So, would this be a good solution for here to do on her web site since not all browsers will show .exe slide presentation in their present state? I will pass this on to my friend. Harry

My computer is a win98se and I know that the graphics card will not support the new program. I tried months ago and it is very slow and flutters and jerks. Harry

Ok, could not get this 5.0 release to work at all so for now I took it off and went back to V 4.48. Knowing fully that I could not anyway use the pan/zoom because my computer was just to slow so I thought well I will try out any new and improved features on the slower engine. I looked and looked but I could not find out where the switch for the slower version but then maby this 5.0 Delux version is not fully activated yet. So I will wait for the completed version in a week or two. I just thought assuming that I could run the slower version for us slower computer guys that I know how to get around and I did see some differences but sometimes I just like to have my pictures click one after another and that was gone. So I will just wait for next week. Harry

No new computer yet. My future son and law is still getting parts etc. So, I am trying to solve one issue that is harassing me. For instance: When I am catching up on our forum I want to go to a URL site, a link, from one of our members so I click it and it is eternally loading and I forget that I have to go up and click stop and then the URL shows on the address bar and I have to highlite it and click enter and then the link comes up. A little bother that I am just used to. Some say a browser setting and I look on Google for intrnet exployer browser settings and find no real help yet. But I am excited that the new 5.0 could be ready in 2-3 weeks and of course I will just use what I hope will be improvements in the standard version for slow and obsolete computers like mine. But I will get the new one I just have to be patient since it is free for me. Harry

Hey guys, and yes I'm still here. I just silently read the forum at least 2x a week to read the latest!! I have started a digital camera club which is from our church but we meet in my house, well rental perhaps for now!! With so many members with much knowledge to share about digital cameras we are all learning much!! I have showed all of course my pressntations, after I lock the doors ALL of my best slide presentations and they are amazed!! We go out on assignments to shoot what ever and then produce a presentation on my computer for now and the pastor will show it to the congregation!! Sort of a trapped audience if you will, he he!! So, we are looking at what could be fifteen members purchasing "Pictures to EXE" sort of a pre-requisite to joing the club, I told it is very reasonable to purchase the program and about the new beta testing and what it can do. I still do not have my new computer so it would be whomever has the most powerful computer will be the new host for meetings. "Wife" permitting!! I also told them that if they order the regular one now that they new release "SOME DAY" will also be alowed to download it with the package. I believe that is what Igor said one time ago. I only hope that Igor will issue out the "Key Codes" in a timely manner so no one in the club gets all out of sorts crying to me saying "Where is my key code" I told them to just be patient because Igor is deligently working hard on the new version. I guess it would be ok to mention that when they order to mention my name? Gee!!! I could be kicked out of the forum. Anyway, with all new members I can learn from them as well as they may pick up the program, new one, faster with more clarity and teach the others "Me also" Does anyone know who is close to Igor have an idea to when this new program will be finalized? Ok, finally here in Arkansas and we have a house . The city is Russellville, AR about 20,000 population. Looking into DSL here. Son inlaw is working on my new computer and promises it will be very powerful. I gave him all my notes on video cards etc. Have I got my work cut out for me when the final beta is approved and the new program is up and running. I hope someone will make a CD for learing about the program from A-Z. From what I am reading it sounds wonderful and intricate to work but I am sure I will tread through it all. Harry

Igor, I know you are very busy. I moved to a new state in our country, U.S.A. and my computer was danaged with files in transit. My daughters husband to be is going to build me a new computer and will be very powerful. Could you let me know the best video graphics card to install for new program. Well, I think I am going crazy!! However the 5200 card with 256 mb for the same $$$ would be good. Right now I am working with the title company to sign documents. Our problem here is that I am here and my wife is already in Arkansas so the documents were sent to her first to sign and have notorized and fed xed over night for Thursday and then friday I sign. I should get a check for $8000 to use towards a fabricated house. But I must say that you and the other guys are great wanted to help me out. I am working on getting my other project with moving pictures to change their forum page content like ours is with pte. By us talking to each other and solving our problems takes a lot of work from the moderator. They seem to like this idea. By the members working with each other we prosper relationships and learn that way. i am also working on a YOUTUBE Video edit magic club where we can put our creations on the web that Google owns with unlimited mb space. I will let all know when I get this computer all together. This friday I have to pack it up and will probably not use it for some time. I can use the down time to install the new card though. Harry

Well Tom after calling Gateway to see if I have a AGP slot the answer is no. I need a PCI card. So if anyone out there knows what kind of a PCI video card let me know and I will research this. Almost seems like I just need a new computer!!!!!!!! But TOM, thank you for your generocity so much and I do appreciate it very much. Our guys and gals on our forum are the best!! I may have to convince my wife that while we have this parcel of money from the sale of the house it might be now or who knows when. yes Tom, that is VERY VERY generous of you. Do you think it will fit in my computer. Above you know I have the attachments from "dxdiag" but I still could not find if there is a slot for a video card. If there is I would call Gateway as I have a life time warranty for advise for this computer. I would somewhere have to disable the video card that I think is incorporated with the main circut board. i did this already for my sound when it went out and it was also built into the circut board but I was able to buy a sound card to bypass the other. I hope all this makes some sinse!! I am currently paying off a Dell Lap for my daughters work in college. I noticed when making a payment my credit line was over or perhaps close to $2000. After selling the house this is considered income to the Veterians Admin. and they will I think count it against my disability dollar per dollar. I told them that I only made 26000 for house and I owed 15,500 and the cost of tittle search and all the expenses my net profit would be maby 7-$9000 or less. I am saying this because using the credit may be out of the picture so I think your VIDEO CARD will be better for now. I already increased my RAM from 198 to 384 and while here by myself (wife is already in Arkansas) I have takend the liberty to get DSL for the first time and I L O V E it!!!! I made some attachments from the "dxdiag" to show you what this computer has. Could not find the information about if I have a video slot for a card. I seem to remember learning at one time that the video card might be intergrated into the computer board itself. I no that my sound is that way but it went out and I could get a sound card to replace it after I disabled the sound card from the computer board itself. Harry

In South East Texas and especially in my area there is still damage done by hurricane Rita. My house was untouched but still affected my property. Then we have a "African American and White" problem. The school district is very poor here and not like it was when I was being schooled here. Most "African American and next espanic and some white" We have families moving to our area to work the refineries expansion projects creating hundred of new jobs but they would rather pay higher prices in neighboor white areas where the school districts are better. I had to practically give my house away. I would also prefer slides but I don't have the computer power to handle the new version 5, so I am expanding my knowledge with movies for now. If you want to see any other movies I make just go to youtube and type into the search "harryfitzner1" and that will bring you to all of my work. It's a hobby and I do enjoy the challenge it gives me and Arkansas is so colerful and beautiful I will be able to even have more creativity there and even with slides but I will have to use the optional side of version 5 for slower computers. Hey guys, this is Harry!!! I had to go back to Texas and work on selling the house and I finally did make that objective. The house closes on the 18th of November. While back I bought a program called "Video Edit Magic" that takes my video clips from my digital camera and will make them mpeg, avi etc. I can add music push and pull and over 150 different types of extras. I will one day get a new computer to work with the new program "version 5" Even this program with this computer is somewhat jerky but works better then version 5 PTE. You can go to "YouTube" I believe you have to register "free" and then type in "harryfitzner1" and should bring you to my movies that I make. I did copy one URL I am going to try and paste here and I don't know if it will work. You may be able to copy and paste it to the browser but here goes. Hey guys it's been a long time I know. Trying to search for that string that Igor made really early on during the first beta testings. The string with what kind of video card I would need . I can get a P4 rebuilt for $299 but I need to know what is needed to make the new version 5 work. I know this is asking much but I really need the help.
