Hey guys just a short note that we are back from escaping the hurricane Rita. Had bone scan all is fine no problem there. Surgeon consultation December 5, day after my birth day, to discuss options. Selling my house to buy in Arkansas 100 miles North of Little Rock. Harry

yes, it would be fun to do, produce a slide show, but I don't know if it is ok to download the program to another computer. I do have at least 90 digital pictures but no way to get them on this computer. My software is at home. Tomorrow I have to call Houston VA to see if some emerency heart and blood pressdure medication can be sent to me here as I have only one week left. My last order was before the hurricane and it is probably at the post office. I understand that only I can pick it up but I will call and see what is the proceedure to do this. Harry

It may take up to 6 weeks before power is restored. I am not angry but just bored. My daughter is flying over to Little Rock, Arkansas for a visit from college. My brother managed to get into our community and discovered that my home seems to be unscathed from damaged but houses next to me and across the street are damaged. All I will have to do, my brother says, is cut tree limbs etc.

My brother is back in Port Arthur but I can't reach him for now even on his cell phone. My wife discovered that we can get our local news paper on the net. It said that MABY by friday we could come home. Gas and water will be restored but no electricy. It is like an oven in homes down there. Electricity could take up to six months. Harry

Some good news!! My daughter who is in Georgia in college said that her friends father is in our home area and will survey our home for damage. We did find out that most people who have trees, and we have two huge over 30 feet tall pecon trees, will have some wind damage. We will find out tonight. Harry

It is so boring just waiting and waiting to go home. But I may be hear for some time. I could possibly do my bone scan at the VA in Little Rock Arkansas. But I am keeping busy taking pictures and reading our forum!! Harry

I have a bone scan Oct. 17 but this past wednesday I had a consultation with the surgeon and he was concerned that my past medical history concerning the bypass surgery I had four years ago could effect the surgery in the way of a possible heart attack during operation. But If I want the operation that is up to me. Well, I am just scared so now I have an appointment with a Raidoligist (sorry spelling) It appears that I can opt also for this which would mean a few months of almost every other day going to the hospital for radiology treatment. To add insult to engery my wife and I evactuated with other residens of Port Arthur, Texas where hurricane Rita will possibly flood and do other damages. I hope my insurance will cover pesonable effects like my "Computer" Hmmmmmm perhaps I can get that P4 and all the whistles and bells after all. We went to Arkansas and are staing with relatives. I am taking scores of beautiful digitals of this area which is very rural and coutry and very antiqueish. (spelling again) Well, aanyway be in prayer. Harry

WOW!! this was a great idea to share this with my brothers from around the world!! I feel encouraged!! To know that some of you and those that you know can relate with me.! I do have some websites to look at as suggested for the patient experience and I will look at those. Kind of holding off on my presentations for now just not to inspired. Actually I am waiting for Igor new beta materspece coming up. My son wants to take some digitals at the VA of me in the hospital and them wheeling me out and of the operation but I said NO NO!! I would be barred from the forum for that and besides what kind of musical background could I use "Gone with the wind"!!!! All kidding aside thanks guys and I will be in rouch. Harry

I am sorry guys for being a *>#? person at times through the years but I am need of prayer now. I seems that I have "Prostate Cancer" and it was caught early and my Veterians Docter says that I am still young and healthy otherwise (age 60)so I am going for the complete removal of the gland. It is slow growing so I am going for a bone scan September 21st to see if my lower bones are clear and then probably go to surgery by October or early November. The VA is just not in a rush. All I can say for all men is to get checked regulary and not just with the rubber gloves but also with a blood test for your PSA count as this is vital. I have to go with the VA because I have no insurance and the VA will take care of me so I really can't complain. I know you all of us know people who have had this operation so I could use some encouragement. I love you guys, Harry

Well, yes Ken that is what I mean. For me, this will be the ultimate upgrade for the pte program. Back from Mexico and shoot about 252 digitals and they cam out pretty good. The missionarys that were in charge of the trip would like for me to go to Trinadad next summer! Harry

Yes, Ken, I have those but I don't believe those are what we are all awaiting for. What I believe and I hope i not mistaken is that what I hope we will get from Igor is say...... A full screen picture slowly fades unto the screen and then the pictures slowly pushes closer to the subject but before it stops another pictures comes up and this time it is panning from L to R. (A sort of choreogaphy if you will) What we have is not what I am talking about. Harry

SOMEONE MADE A BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION OF 911 AND I REALL LOVED THE BACKGROUND SOUNDS OF WHICH I DON'T BELIEVE WAS MUSIC BUT RATHER A CHOIR. I WILL BE GLING WITH A CHURCH GROUP TO AN ORPHANAGE TO MEXICO AND WOULD POSSIBLY LIKE TO GET THE BACKGROUND SOUND. I COULD POSSIBLY RIP THE SOUND OR THAT PERSON COULD JUST SEND ME THE BACKGROUND SOUND. After you get your sound effects, Ron, and for me they have always been very shot. Use Audacity to copy to make them longer. Harry

I should have also added that I will also learn stuff that I have had always some trouble with. You know new people and younger minds will pick up things tht some how I missed. Better this way as so many of our advanced members tried so hard to help me out and I did learn much! But have others learn after I teach the basics will do me a world of good. Harry

Thanks Igor, You just keep me busy learning all the new implements that you come up with it keeps my mind oiled and always in a learning process. We in South East Texas are working on a PTE club which will meet at a bistro European type coffee shop. One of us will have a lap top armed with the product and of course the others as they join will have to purchase the product. We will meet 1x per month and share ideas do projects and just learn all there is to learn. So far there are two of us!! We are really excited about one of the new projects you are working on about paning up, down and side ways etc. Harry

I will be doing another presentation of digital shots that I took at my church. A television station Fox 69 and a FM radio station joined together to hold finals for "American Idol" finals and our church hosted the show because we do television brocasting live to a local station on Sundays so we had the proper television lighting for this. I used my Sony DSC-f717. However my ISO setting was 800 and it should have been at 400 I realize now as it would have produced less noise. Isabel was very instramental in helping me find a program that was "free" cheepy me!! I pretty much gave up at first as I believed you had to be a technical type person to understand what to accomplish with this program. Well, I am learning and with more expermentation with the camera of which I hope to produce all of my presentations now. I did use music from the CD for "American Idle" so I have due for the music and I hope that is good enough because a copy will probably go to the tv and radio station. It will be my largest show yet at 25 MB and for me that is large. With my 98 computer and dial up it will take, and I cry, probably one hour plus to upload. Harry

My new presentation titled "Bed and Breakfasts" nothing really spectacular but I was just experimenting with a used camera given to me by my brother. Sony Digital Still Camera DSC-f717 At this shooting I used only the auto sequence. Lately I have really jumped into the workings of the manual usage of the camera. These two homes of yesteryear were wonce founders of our community. One was a match baron and the other was a railroad tycoon. One is a paratial museum and bed and breakfast and the other used for weddings and receptions. Hope you enjoy! Harry

Hi Jim, thanks for your reply about: MACs and PTE have been discussed MANY times There is an active current thread on the forum about the topic. I don't know but I have never had success with the search tool I guess to many options I always get nothing. I typed in Mac computers and PTE but never sure about the other choices. Other forum members will be kind to supply the thread you made me feel like I committed some sort of error in forum protacol (excuse my speeling) I will call my friend who already bought the program and apologize. I only hope Jim you will treat her with more kindness. I really felt the hand spanking on my wrist for this. Harry

She can not open the Hawaii file because she has a MAC computer and exe files are for Windows only. bummer.......... That can be a problem. I don't know is it tree that a Mac computer can not open .EXE files? So my friend can't send presentations to her friend? Can a Mac owner have the P2E program installed on their computer? Harry
