  1. Thanks for the LUCK with the registration key we all know how this can go!! Igor is so busy with the new beta and all!! Search, never thought about it but will give it a try. Harry
  2. Hey guys well it's all over and doing fine in Arkansas. Lost some Cd's one with my code to run PTE but I have an email in dispatch to Igor for help. Had to again format the old machine but I did save many important things though. I have a very important important question for anyone who can help. A long time ago it was important for someone who wanted to know, LIKE ME, how one could reposition jpeg's in a different numerical sequence. It was a simple program and I wanted to know if anyone knows about this. Actually it is for my brother and I know you can do this in PTE but this is for something else. You can post it here if you know or email me: harry_fitzner@peoplepc.com Harry
  3. Well, not that I am trying to take precedence over the new version 5.00 etc. I am reading all the entries and I am amazed at with some of the people don't seem to realize that is is just a Beta and partial at that. Now I am recovering quite well and walking very much daily and working with this continent (spelling) ordeal. This is actually the worst part of the whole deal but I will eventually get this over with. Now I will just be patient and wait for the new version to be finalized and use the old graphical engine with whatever improvements it renders for my old machine. I actually can't even observe Igors samples as it gives me many error messages etc. So, I expect that even when this is all finished I wont enjoy any of the presentations of Pan/etc. that people produce. Now when I move to Arkansas my Aunt has DSL and a faster more modern computer and I hope that I can use that machine to do work on. If I did this right the attachment shows my computer and what I have or what I don't have for the new version. Harry Belaric.htm
  4. Back home in south east Texas. I have some followups to do on the 26th. Wehave had many nibbles for the house but yet no offers etc. Need to sell the house before we go to Arkansas. We believe the Lord will work this out. Harry
  5. Ok FINALLY had the operation and I am at home takeing it easy. The very day I was to be checked out to go home my daughter got into a minor auto acident which I fequent in Houston. A hit and run. No enjury to wife or daughter, thank the Lord. Got the car home though. We will have to have the door replaced and the door mirror. Harry
  6. Well ok, it looks that now I finally have a date set for the stress test which will be this Monday 4/10 and the operation Tuesday 4/11 early (something about a 10:00 golf date) After the stress test they will check me into the hospital so I have the rest of the day to get my mind set! My brother gave me his old Sony 17 "flat screen monitor which for me is years younger then my 1998 Gateway monitor. Now I am hoping that he will also get anothr computer and give me his old XP which is years younger then my computer, vintage 1998. I don't know they make up of his computer(megs etc.) but I know it is much faster then mine I just hope his video card is capable for version 5.0 beta. Harry
  7. Would have been well on my way to recovery this wednesday if I had the operation Monday. The doctor noticed that I did not have a stress test to see if the ticker could hold out during the operation. They are also concerned that my teeth at least some would have to be pulled as could cause a problem with the oxygen hose could knock some loose teeth down my throat. So, dental checked and said I was good to go all teeth seemed to be tight and would you believe the next day at home a piece of one of my front teeth just feel down on the key board. But don't worry I got all the interesting pictures!! Well keep you informed. Harry Average member
  8. Well this is it 3/27, next Monday early am is the operation and I guess I am ready!! My wife and I will drive to Houston, Texas about 90 miles that Monday morning about 5:00 am check into the hospital and by 10:30 it starts. I would have preferred to check in say Sunday to give myself a chance to realize it all but this way it is better for the VA. Harry
  9. I am excited for the beta coming up but I have something more important to ask Igor or anyone for that matter. First off, my house is finally on the market to sell and we are getting some bites!! My operation now is in the planning states for this month. The location where we are moving to Arkansas is really remote and has no local internet hook up except 17 miles away and it is long distance but my wifes Aunt does have DSL and I was wondering when the new version is finalized could I download the program to her computer use my key and work that computer or is it possible to copy to a disk and transfer to my win98 computer? On the new version will there be some applications that I can use that will work for my slower computer? I don't really need to be on the net but would like to update from one computer to another. Harry
  10. Igor, you said quite some time ago that you would produce a slide presentation showing what the program can do! Will this also be available when the Beta1 come out? I won't be able to use all of the new version but for guys like me who still have a windows 98, 197 mb and 386 mga hertz and a semi dual prop generator just our side my house will there be something I can use from the new version? Harry
  11. I was told that my little end movie .exe didn't work. I am sorry for that so I will have to just look into this. Harry
  12. ohhhh a bit nervous and scared but anyway I guess I'll break the ice since I don't have much to loose and my old 98 win98 386 MLX PII will not work with the new version anyway but Igor, I believe you said we would have the first Beta the first two weeks in Feb. which was latter then you thought anway. So, can you give us an update on was up!! Not mad or anything but I do go to my computer and punch in the forum page like it was the holy grail and well you know the rest so please forgive my exitement. Harry p.s. hey why after almost two years on this forum I"m still average? (joking) Actually, I did have another older log in but when we went from the very first forum program to the next and the next I got lost, but who's counting!!
  13. Thank you LumenLux that did do the job. This is really a great program and very well documented. RadVideo tools: www.radgametools.com/binkhlp2.htm Harry
  14. I figured out from the "Helps" "RadVideo" web page that you can put the presentation over a black background and center the presentation. Now all I need to know is do I link the presentation and use a button or do I just: go to: Project options/run application after last slide So, I will now show it on Beechbrook site soon!! Just an expeiment as I would like to get the video realy sharp. Harry
  15. Using my Sony Cybershot to make a MOV movie which says it is (if I can believe it) is a MOV MPEG. But anyway I am using a program (RadVideo) which will mend several movies together and convert to avi or an exe file. I mended 9 movie segments and made a avi added music and then converted to a .exe. I want to add it to the end of a side show so I went to project options/run appplication after last slide and it did work but it showed the background of PTE where you created the slide show. I wanted the exe movie to have a solid anycolor but what I discovered was not so. I thought that I could do a hyperlink and a button and inserted the name of the movie but that did not work. I even tried searching but have had no luck with the search. Working hard right up to my operation in early march. Harry untitled.bmp
  16. Well, I was also unsure but now I'm not. I also found out that the reason I was not able to click on any url on the forum page and get a hand was that my peoplePC isp pop up neded to be turned off and the accleration level needed to be on level 1 to make little icons not blurry. Well, dang I guess I am just getting old! Harry
  17. Well, it appears that I made a mistake when trying to enable the mp3 encoder. After formating my computer and saving all important files including music on a CD I was working with a music clip doing some editing from the CD and when I went to save it would not work because I had to first move the music clip over to the HD first and when I did this and then audacity would save correctly. SO, I LEARNED A LESSON AND even though you have CD's with music saved on them you should first bring it over to your HD first. Harry
  18. Not functional yet, this is weird First off Ken "guidos" link will not work. I downloaded from the lame mirrors and I extractd the whole file to system or system32? So I extracted the whole file first to system and then to system32. I did my music edit and went to edit/preferences/file format and went to windows to find either sys or sys32 but still received the prompt "unable to open target file for writing" It did say prior from the library it was looking for the dll but I could not do that unless I draged it to sys or sys32. Geez this is probably not making any since.
  19. Well, I had to reformat my computer because I had two virsus that I could not remove and it did slow the computer down. For the last three days I have downloaded and uninstalled audacity several times and used the links for the codecs. But I have always had this problem with getting that darn .dll file to work. I have everything saved in program files in the audacity folder as I always do. When I go to audacity to edit a music piece. I went to to the download page, I clicked a link from the list of identical lame links and unziped it and saved the contents to my audacity file. I edited some music and "Exported as MP3 but I got a prompt saying "UNABLE TO OPEN TARKET FILE FOR WRITING" I was not asked where the tile is found or go to the library. I added an attachment to show you what is in the audacity file. I the past I always had the actual file lame_end.dll this time as you see in the attachment I used a 3.96final and when I unzipped it, it did show this lame_end.dll file. I re-started the computer but no encoder file working for audacity. Harry
  20. Not much of a presentation I suppose. Of all the 300 or so digitals I picked what I thought would be dramatic. Question: I exposed these pictures at a very large size hoping to use some for the new pan and zoom effect. But I really don't know what would be the size to shoot if one wanted to use this effect. I am not sure how this is going to work so suggestions would be helpful. Still in Texas though as I will be submitting myself soon now to being injected to radiation seeds right in the spot where my cancer of the prostate is. I desided not to going under the surgical blade this time. Harry
  21. Not sure if this is what you can use but I have a very in-expensive program that at the time cost $3.00 and it went up to $12.00 but it is called "Rip Vinyl" For instance you can play any CD and rip the whole CD on any single song or you can play any slide .exe pesenation and rip just the music. Here is their e-mail: support@ripvinyl.com and here is their web page: http://www.ripvinyl.com/orderinfo.shtml Harry
  22. I have many pictures so I will have to pick the best. I am waiting for the new version to come out. Thank you for your kind words Maureen. Harry
  23. Yes, will I can learn all over again. Just learned today from the Veterians Addministration that to transfer to Little Rock, Arkansas as a new patient will take some time when there is an opening. (if you can believe that) so I will have to do everything here. Since I was a past bypass patient I will have to redo a stress test to determine how heart healthy I would be for a operation. I could have to retake that test where they inject that dye to determine for any resent blockage if the stress test does not go well. But gee wiz guys I feel great and I am not short of breath at all. Oh gosh I hate that test. Harry
  24. :huh:Bill, My email is the same but here it is I guess it is ok to do this: fotos@ruralcomm.com fixing, shampooing carpet, washing down house to sell the house. Much work to do. Harry
  25. There is some beautiful scenery up that way also, so we hope to see some slideshows coming from you mid next year after it warms up a little. Take care of yourself and good luck on your move! Fred
