  1. Thank you all for your replies. I managed to fudge something together by 5 months after the wedding [SEpt 2014] and all recipients seemed very happy.
  2. I just want to add that I have got the background file working well, and have added my own content, plus am using the two TheDom styles Lin posted with clear instructions. All is so easy to use and I am excited to see what is happening !!! THANK YOU
  3. Robert, bless you! exactly what I was trying to download. Also to Dave for the excellent advice and help I now have that template, and have been playing with the possibilities. THank you ALL for contributing, it has cheered me up no end ! Now to set to work .
  4. I downloaded it also, but I am far from being an expert. Barry Beckham's one is similar but I doubt I could even tweak it that far. There is an elegance and variety about TheDom's work that I really like in any of the templates I have had of his. This is one I specially like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=f32GSf-5U8g#! linzi
  5. Thank you for your trouble Yachtsman1. I see that was posted in Jan 2011, and all the links go to TheDom's site and end with an error page. Whatever was the problem he was having it does not seem to have got better. Sadness Sadness. linzi
  6. Thank you for your reply Lin. 20/20 vision in hindsight is a wonderful thing, and I do still have backup of all my images but thought if I needed a slide show which I had made for a purpose at the time, I could recreate it. Sadly I am now in this pickle. I have some slideshows on YouTube, but of course they are now in that format and I did not even know about the Backup to Zip function. I will certainly be using that a lot in future. So, since it was a free download [ and seems to still be so] and since Lin thinks it would therefore not be against the rules for someone to send it to me, is there ANYone out there who could help? Pleeeze? Pam
  7. Thank you JudyKay. I have looked at the Beckham one also but much prefer TheDom's version. I couldnt find any other album on TheDom's site which is really a mess, such a pity. Have tried 7 ways from sunday to get at the backed up data from the crash but no luck. I am quite happy to pay for a good one but can't seem to find any by anyone else.
  8. Hi all My computer crashed 3 weeks ago and I am slowly regaining all the software etc. Problem is, I have lost the wedding animated background template photo album from TheDom. As TheDom's website download is not allowing me to click the DOWNLOAD small grey button on the pageand as I have had no response to any attempts to contact him, and as it is a FREE download, and as I have an urgent wedding to do, is it unethical for one of you to send it to me? I love it and I am desperate. Please? linzi
  9. Long time later, but I just found this on my hard drive when cleaning up. Its brilliant !! My family have been photography fanatics since the year dot. Its genetic. I had to sit through many many of these when I was younger and always dreaded the inevitable invitation to "Come over to supper and see the slides of our trip" which arrived after every traveller's return home. Incidentally I AM a colonial, living in NZ and it is just as applicable here as it is in the UK I am sure. Very funny, very very well done. Thank you.
  10. Is there an instruction file for this template anywhere? I just downloaded both this one and the stamp making one.
  11. The Grand Tour. Classic. Though I live in NZ my parents did just that tour in 1957 and I am now keen to find their boxes of slides to recreate our many hours of family "enjoyment" Thank you
  12. Thank you Stu I did that and it expired about 5 weeks ago.... Oh well.
  13. I have just downloaded and installed my free upgrade from 6.0 to 6.5. Now when I try to use the YouTube function 6.5 tells me my Video Builder subscription needs renewing while it is still working in 6.0 which I have not yet uninstalled. How can I carry my VB sub from one version to the next? It does not expire for a while yet. Also isnt it time you combined the VB with the main programme even if you have to charge a little extra? Having to renew is such a fiddle and I am sure many users want the feature.

  15. At this stage I cannot get any files made with what I presume is PTE 5 to show anything other than a white full screen or to play broken sound files. I downloaded the latest Nvidia driver for my GeForce 100/200 two days ago and still cannot get any joy. I am running these from saves on the main hard drive, not from a cd and computer specs are as follows. Win98SE [because I have a slide/film scanner for which Canon did not update the driver to XP] 1.30 gigahertz AMD Duron 128 kilobyte primary memory cache 64 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: 8363/A-686A Bus Clock: 100 megahertz BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 09/30/2002 NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 [Display adapter] LGE Flatron795FT [Monitor] (16.3"vis) Can anyone help? My thoughts are that if the specs needed to run Version 5 are beyond the reach of those other than specialised users, it will defeat the purpose of using a less expensive programme like PTE in favour of the more expensice ProShow.
