  1. Thanks - the PTE Timeline Guide looks like it will answer many of my questions. FWIW, the only way I could get the waveform to refresh was to rename the sound file and then add it back into the presentation. -Scott
  2. I am working on my first presentation synchronized with music. I added four MP3 files to the presentation, and after doing the initial arrangement decided I needed to have a silent lead-in to the presentation. I edited the first music file to include the silent period. However, the waveform in the PTE timeline dialog does not reflect the change. Is there a way to force PTE to refresh the waveform? I tried removing and re-adding the music files, but PTE seems to cache the original waveform. Also, are the various options/buttons in the time line dialog documented anywhere? Thanks, -Scott
  3. Ken, No, I was referring to the Gretag Macbeth "Eye One" color calibration system, which includes both a hardware calibration instrument and software to produce ICC profiles for both your display and printer. They also sell an attachment called a "Beamer" that allows you to use the same calibrator to create profiles for digital projectors: http://www.i1color.com/ Best regards, -Scott
  4. John, I'm curious how you apply the profile created by the beamer to the slide show since PicturesToExe isn't color managed? Do you convert each of the image files to that profile? I currently use the Eye One for screen and print calibration, but have been contemplating getting the Beamer accessory to calibrate my digital projector. However, the workflow I would use isn't clear to me yet. Thanks, -Scott www.heinphoto.com
  5. Now that we have a great "light table" to help us select and sort the images in our presentations, I would like to have this concept extended to the EXE file to improve navigation during slide shows. I mostly use PicturesToEXE for manual slide shows and would love to be able to pop up a light table during the presentation so that I can quickly navigate to earlier or later slides. -Scott
  6. The next logical step would be to make the new light table view available during a presentation by hitting a function key. The user could then choose the slide they want to display and continue the presentation from there. With that said, I don't know how difficult it would be to integrate the light table into the "compiled" EXEs. However, I would love to see this kind of capability since I would definitely use it in my workflow. -Scott
  7. Firstly, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for implementing light table sorting. That is the single feature that kept me evaluating other presentation programs. I can rest now! For the most part, I have found Beta #5 to work great. However, I have found one bug related to file renaming that you should probably take a look at. If when renaming a file in the thumbnail view, you try to enter a capital "R" (Shift-R), the thumbnail is rotated instead of the "R" being entered in the file name. The accelerator keys still seem to be active when the file renaming dialog box has focus. That's all so far, -Scott
