  1. Hi Marriane, Welcome to the Forum you are going to love this programme personally I put text etc, together in photoshop one reason is if the person trying to view your show does not have the same fonts well you get the picture I just find it easier to plan the show this way " your fades well two things size of Jpg would be one thing also performance of processor and if large music files are used all make fades jumpy so try 800x600 dpi or smaller ( this is only a starting point you do understand it is your show after all ) the lenght of the fades are set in customise slide > effects tick fade box go to bottom and set duration to say 3000 for a slow and hopefully smooth transition then 3 you can preview without creating a slide show and save the .pte file but to distribute it like this the other person is going to have P TO EXE to view this type of file I " THINK " as for Blackcountry by BBDIGITAL Barry has some tutorial CD's for a reasonable cost available on his site I hope you get lots more help with object editor I do not use this facility but lot do and are probably right to do so I just do it my way so I can not really help out there Keep on Rocking Regards Clive
  2. Hi Bubba, "I welcome your thoughts on this " Sorry but it is still not right to use someone elses work without paying doesn't matter what the company MP3 .COM say it is much more complicated than this what I think we would all welcome is a reasonable price for a licence with the obvious limitations in place I think the whole Recording industry would be in better shape and I could buy more CD's with the fall in prices this issue is in bad need of a shake up too much time spent on chasing pirates instead of making it less attractive, there was a market in Manhattan last Sunday some Dominican Holiday and the amount of Bogey CD's $5 each all the latest chart music if the cost of a straight CD in the store was closer they would more than likely put these guys out of Business and sell lots more Cd's.......... tricky stuff my amigo's so Bubba good luck trying to find your way through this minefield or do as Ken say's "Happy Birthday to you" or do your own DA DA DA DA if you are a good HUMMER keep on rocking................... Regards Clive ,

  8. Hi Linda , welcome to the forum, using an mp3 file as a music track saves space without loosing quality for $20 you can get a CD ripper to convert your CD's to MP3's CD to MP3 is the one I use and can be downloaded as a limited trial version and is simple to use it can be found at www.yeware.com good luck with your shows Regards Clive.
  9. Nice concept Ken take it or leave it Buddy ! you must have a very nice pension HA HA!! but of course you are correct it is a headache trying to do the right thing where IT IS A COMMERCIAL CD we are subject to copyright laws Thanks BE to your god otherwise I would need to borrow money from KEN !! its just sooooo sooooo! diffucult to do the right thing here and I am not talking about all you nice honest people who make some fantastic shows for pure pleasure and are either giving it away or competing these licences are cheap and easy enough to obtain and as someone pointed out You would not like your client copying your work and I am sure you take measures to prevent it good luck and if you get sorted let ME know regards and keep on rocking Clive

  18. Hi Alan, Such a wit , cheers for the advice, whats this thing called Lunch?
  19. Hello All, Thank you all for your help yesterday ,today brings a new challange folks once again I would appreciate a simple sulition that I can follow I am almost ready with a show and the music has me baffled I used audacity to mix two tracks (yes I am shocked I have got this far) my problem is when I try to export them as a MP3 file I get the following message "Audacity does not export mp3 files directly but instead uses the freely available Lame Library to handle mp3 file encoding, you must obtain Lame_enc.dll separately ,by downloading the Lame mp3 encoder and then locate this file for Audacity you need only do this once would you like to locate them now. I hit yes and a second message appears "Could not open mp3 encoding library." my guess is I am missing the library so can any one help here, Thank you all in advance Keep on rocking Clive.
  20. Hi James, You were on a feast with that BINGE yes indeed all good things come to those who wait some anxious moments will lead to a joyfull climax I hope, "As stormy winds have passed and gone shall gentle calm succeed" we all wish you well , keep up the good work Regards Clive Ps where do you buy your Fish Jim,
  21. Which hair would that be Alan the one on your slide or the two on my head? you Guys really cheer me up Regards Clive
  22. Well Ken, you lead a dull life, sorry could not resist it . Are you sending your forehead to Alan or is he sending his slides to you, we don't have oily forheads in Ireland ,Yes indeed the pills ware off quicker these days, I think with slides you would not get away with this as the dyes used in the slide are prone to bacteria I think also fungi yuk! and I know Alan well enough to be very careful with storage of his trannies so the culprit must have been a Judge in a competion or a third party handling his slides so Alan if Kens forehead arrives in the post send it back Regards Clive, ps no offence meant
  23. Thanks Al, Guido ,Bill, You were all of great help ,I took the easy option and removed the music but you stuck to the brief and kept it simple I am very interested in Bills suggestion of msn sounds like what I need ,so hopefully Sue gets the email. Great stuff folks Keep on rocking Regards Clive. :
