A word of caution. You might find that their player will not read a "multimedia" disc? My comment about 4:3 was not intended as a suggestion. It was general information. Did you say what the TV AR is? My words about best quality in every aspect stand. DG

no matter what res you choose to work with it will be reduced to pal res. if you choose 4:3 you will get every ounce of quality (res) possible. if you choose 16:9 it will be fitted inside the 4:3 pal "envelope" and you will "lose" the top and bottom res. use highest quality jpegs. there is "no penalty". untick "fixed size...". you might find that quality has improved since last time that you tried it. dg

Peter, You said above that you were going to produce a DVD? Surely, your choice is limited to DVD-Video? And using VideoBuilder is as good a way to go as any. As a variation, produce the ISO in PTE VB and use your own DVD Burning software to complete (better). DG

Peter, Doesn't the success or failure of this type of DVD owe more to the quality of the (blank) DVD used and the age/quality of the DVD player it is played on? I'll be watching this thread closely. DG

Have you changed the Pan etc from Linear to something else. If so you need to go into SETTING UP and change the Seperate/Glue Here setting. DG

I always advise that you should Create an ISO Image and wherever you save it just be sure that you can find it. Don't save to C drive if you have another alternative. Internal HDDs are the best option. Then use your DVD Burning Software to complete the DVD. Double clicking on the ISO "should" bring up the correct burning module. Allow the burning speed to be decided automatically. If you TV is relatively new it should have a USB port which would allow for making an MPEG4 file instead of a DVD - MUCH, MUCH better option. DG

Ron, Please upload bigger screen shot? I have inserted 2560x1440 slides and images into 1920x1080 Projects with no adverse side effects. Are you running your monitor at full native resolution? DG

Hi Maureen, I can't disagree with any of the above with regard to the images. The colours are really superb - you'd think that those Italians would tidy up some of the cabling on he outsides of their buildings - you wouldn't see that in the Tyrol! You said in your intro - "no animations" - I did miss seeing some subtle zooms or pans and believe that they would have added a little extra to this lovely documentary of the streets of Venice. As always, it's in my "Lakeland Lass" folder. Well done. DG

Underexpose your video a little. I also noticed that slight shift in saturation. You have a D300s with Pic Controls - you could make your own PC with a slightly more saturated version? If you are now using Neutral - use Standard. If you are now using Standard - use Vivid. After conversion you'll be back where you wanted to be in the first place. DG

Gary, The "abrupt" stops and starts are to do with the way that you have configured the Zooms and Pans and Videos. Zooms, Pans and Videos should (IMHO) start at the beginning of an incoming transition and end at the end of an outgoing transition. Many of your Zooms, Pans and Videos start after the incoming transition has ended and end before the outgoing transition has ended. WRT a blurred image I don't usually use the same image twice. I blur the image before the Portrait image so that there is continuity between the two slides. DG

Robert, Be careful with file sizes when using 100% - perhaps it is not always necessary? Also - remember KFSD! (When inserting video). DG

Gary, NIK Viveza and Silver FX etc are Integral parts of NX2 - you are "wasting money" buying them twice. All that you get for your money is the presets. Added to that they work on the RAW files in NX2 - they work on the TIFFs in CS. Portrait - why not show your portrait image overlaying a faded-back or blurred landscape image - that way the change of AR doesn't hit you in the face? Music - it's a simple matter to repeat a verse or chorus in a piece of music to add time or cut 4 or 8 bars out without interrupting the flow. With care it can be done in PTE's Audio Utility and will hopefully be even better in 7.5 / 8. DG P.S. I'm now going to watch your show.
