  1. cheers Ken, perhaps I ought to visit this forum more often to keep up to date!
  2. A search for 'trojan' received better results: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....amp;#entry35474 Seems to be an ongoing problem, so sorry for repeating it here.
  3. Using a 'translator program' as far as I can work out, this seems to be a problem whereby certain Anti Virus programs are mistakenly 'believing' that PTE shows with a number of jpegs contain a trojan horse program. There is apparently an entry somewhere on this message board about this (search of forum using DCNN trojan revealed nothing) so please accept my apologies if I'm repeating old news.
  4. I've since found there's been a lot of discussion about this on the diaporamaforum forum recently but my French is not good enough for me to understand... http://www.diaporamaforum.com/forums/index...amp;#entry62275
  5. I'm always looking for good PTE shows, and I've been a member of 'Le Site DCNN' for a while. After a few months break I tried to download "Paolo" from DCCN but my Anti-Virus program (Kaspersky) detected a Trojan concealed within. I've tried some others with mixed results. Whats more worrying is that I've gone back into my old PTE shows folder and scanned some shows that I've downloaded from DCCN in the past, this time though discovering Trojans that my AV program hadn't found before. I'm not saying that these 'trojans' are dangerous, or that you shouldn't use DCCN, but you should be aware of these threats. Perhaps one of the DCNN people would like to comment? The message I'm getting is: detected: Trojan program Backdoor.Win32.Hupigon.djk
  6. seen lots of pics from there in our local and open Photo Competitions, my vote is in!
  7. I've just gone back to the project.pte file and re-created the exe file and ended up with only a 50Meg file, somewhere along the way I must have converted my friends original pte file with his hi-res images into the exe file rather then the rebuilt version I made with all the pics reduced to the 1024/762 max dimension size. Sorry I get confused very easily... thanks for your help though, appreciated
  8. Sorry this is probably an old question to you but... I've just 'created' a pte (4.48) exe file from approx 100 jpeg files (average half a meg each), only two pics have text on (six letters each), no music, but the resulting exe file comes out as 120meg big, is this right or have I missed something? ta in advance
  9. I think you'll find you have to edit it in v5, sounds like you're trying to do it in the older v4.48(or earlier) version? hth
  10. thanks to both of you, I'll sit down at the weekend (when I'm less busy) and have a go! cheers! kloggy
  11. I'm an Irfanview user too, let me in on the 'secret' please!
  12. Enjoyed the show, Morasoft, nicely put together. Minor point, you need to add a 'd' to the end, it should be 'to be continued...' and I promise you, your English is much better then my Spanish!
  13. thank you, worth the wait too, well done!
  14. hi Andreas, it comes up as a pte project rather then an exe show for me, plus it comes out as an early version of PTE (v1?) that is not supported by the current version (v4.48) so I'm unable to 'preview' it? happy new year
  15. Hello Stéphane, Really enjoyed your show, particularly liked the creativity and the humour. It might be my pc video system, but I did notice some white 'breakthrough' at the top of the star scenes which you may need to have a look at, though it is a minor point which doesn't detract from the show. great work!
