  1. I have searched the forum looking for what I would have thought was a basic type of template to no avail. What I would like is a style that takes the first image as a blurred background and then applies the next two portrait images on top side by side with a small gap around each one. As an extra, it might be useful if the background image stays showing a few seconds before being blurred and the two images appear. Any one seen/have something like this that perhaps I could adapt?
  2. Is version 11 available as an upgrade to 10.5 do you know?
  3. Trying to install these into PTE AV Studio v 10.5 but get error that they are either corrupt or created in a later version. Any ideas?
  4. Can someone explain to me what this options does and when should it be enabled?
  5. First it is not the expanding of the folders that's the problem -it's the depth that I have to go to. Second, nobeefstu, there is a "Documents" directory shown in the tree already which opens up "My Documents" however, under Vista the My Pictures folder is no longer in here it is under a completely different path: C:\Users\yourname\Pictures\Photos\then whatever you have created. So what I would like to do is to put a shortcut in the tree view directly to the Photos directory.
  6. An idea - The tree view current shows my drives, desktop and Documents. It would be good to either be able to add custom folders here or at least add the My Pictures directory. having to go c: Users etc. everytime is a pain!
  7. Would tend to agree. My Windows XP Pro SP3 worked first time. Vista Home Premium (unlike others here) has never produced a file.
  8. Just to test the theory, I have uninstalled 5.6 beta 2 cleaned out the registry and rebooted. Re-installed beta 2 and tried to make a short (3 images) HD video. No file was produced after about 1 minute of build time. Steve
  9. It's not size related. I am only using three images so the video is only a few seconds in length and nothing is produced anywhere
  10. Yes it's Beta 2 - I have actually uninstalled beta 1. I have rebooted as well. The title bar says beta 2
  11. Just tried it on an old laptop running windows xp pro and it works fine. So either a problem with Vista Home premium or it is expecting some other software or something I have installed causing a problem - although I don't have much installed on this machine
  12. Have also done search for mp4 files and found none.
  13. That's what I thought, but there is no file - nothing - just the original pte file After the Creating file for is done I get an image of a blue disc with a green tick. Click Done and then nothing.
  14. I have just downloaded the latest 5.6 beta1. I am having problem creating the HD video or video for iPhone. It goes through the process, the progress bar completes to 100% I click on done but no file is produced. Is this not implemented yet or have I done something wrong? The slide show only has about 3 pictures in it. I am using Vista Home premium.
  15. Having read the above discussion with interest, does this mean that with V5, we can no longer take an avi file, decode into individual images and then run them through at 34ms (original video was 30fps) to re-create the video in PTE like we could in 4.48?
  16. At the moment when selecting text comments for new slides in the project options - Comments window, selecting an option from the popup always overwrites the current contents rather than adding it at the cursor position. So if I want the comment to show the Exif date and time, I have to select time copy it, select date (which replaces the time) and then paste the time back in. Would it not be a good idea to add the selected comment to the current cursor position?
