  1. Jim: Thanks for the directional advice. This should answer my questions...for now! Looks like some difficulties have been experienced by others. Ed
  2. If someone could point me to a thread that discusses burning PtoE files to DVD, I would be most grateful. Thanks Ed
  3. Have been on vacation, but just want to second info below. thanks, Ed Hi Igor, It has been asked before so I'll ask again: Can you please add the ability to add parameter in Run app ? Can you please add the ability to run PTE show with parameters like: Run("Show.exe","Slide2") Can you please add the ability to embed external app and use Run app ? Thank you Granot
  4. Granot: Thank you for the suggestion. I have followed your link and will give PB a try. I would still love to have a limited number of views allowed (as in Mr. Gates with his various MS products) in addition to the time restricted viewing. I realize there is always a way to get around security, but it helps to keep the honest people honest by giving them fewer temptations. You must just sit around all day and dream up utilities, solutions and suggestions as everytime I have a question, you have an answer. I'm glad. Thanks, Ed
  5. Since the limited time usage can be overcome by changing the date on the CPU, is there any way to limit number of times a presentation can be viewed? This would be very helpful in frustrating those who want to steal the presentation. Ed Vaughn
  6. Greetings: I have put together several presentations about our product--photographic portraits. These can be opened from buttons on the title or main slide that opens via autorun (thanks to Granot). I have some other files such as price list, forms to complete, etc., that are in pdf format. Can I access these files by using one of the button commands on the title slide? Thanks
  7. Granot: Restore did the job for me!!! Wonderful. You saved my behind on this one. I am sure this program will get a lot of use by PTE users in the future. Where would you like to have donation sent? ((Seriously)) With much gratitude. Ed
  8. Thanks Granot: I will try both of these tonight when I can have time to really get into them. Ed
  9. Granot: Once again your genius amazes me. Your program works great but stops each time at 50 images. I have over 100 images I need to recover and cannot start the capture halfway through--or at least I don't know how. Any suggestions? Figure this one out and "contribution" will be on the way to you once I know how to send it. Much thanks, Ed
  10. My assistant deleted image files from one of our portrait sessions before making a backup CD. I do have no-expiration PtoE show but do not know how or if it is possible to have images printed from PtoE files. The do not print feature was enabled on the shows. Am I dead in the water or is there hope? TYI, Ed
  11. I have obtained music from GaryLamb.com and from Music2Hues.com Think those are correct if not just search for the names of the companies. Ed
  12. MidKnight: Very interesting to read all the posts. Think your image is very nice and agree with most everyone else that the branch needs to stay--for most of the same reasons. Branch also adds better perception of depth and softens that area of the image. Unless you are locked into a particular shape, might consider cropping so the waterfall is in the right third of the image. The only thing I found disturbing about the image was the exact center placement of the main focal area. I like the waterfall to the right, stream flowing left to right and then right to left into the pool. My 2 cents. Ed
  13. Granot: My Hytml is the utility. Will let you know. Ed
  14. Granot: don't know about the "old boys" but this is a useful utility for me. Putting some things together with it at the moment. Thanks, Ed
  15. Granot: I would like to have your print disable utility. While the discussion has valid points, I just try to "keep the honest people honest" by not making copying easy for the average viewer. I also agree that the average viewer, we send our portrait previews out on PTE CDs, is not that hip to getting around disablers. Sometimes they go over the time limit for making their decisions and call the studio to ask for a new CD. Clock changing is not that tough. please send to vaughn@sofnet.com Thanks and I like the items on your Cottage site
