  1. Thanks guys. I had not thought of the screen copy. I'll try that. I appreciate your quick response.
  2. I am making a commemorative slideshow for a family reunion. I wish there were a way I could add some pdf text files (family tree, dates, history, etc) to the show. I have not been very successful in getting crisp text by converting pdf files to jpgs. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
  3. Thanks everybody. My remember-er isn't what it used to be but my forget-er works quite well.
  4. I am still using version 6.5. There used to be a way to create a folder which would store all of your jpegs, music, & PTE file. I think it was called "create template". Am I overlooking this option or has it gone away? Thanks, anybody.

  6. Thank you Linn. I have used PTE for several years - to make very simple slideshows of family events. Early on you responded to my request for help on animations. Unfortunately, my "remember-er" isn't what it used to be so I tend to stick to the very very simple slideshows. I have bookmarked this website. Thank you very much. Shirley
  7. I have been away from P2E for some time now. With 6.5 is it possible to put videos in shows? If so, what file types? Thanks
  8. Thanks everybody. I got it and it's working. I love PTE.
  9. I have used PTE for several years and bought the Video Builder Version in 2008. In Jan 2010 my computer died so I purchased 6.0 and put it on my husband's computer. Since it was past the two year limit on Video Builder, I paid $34. I now have a new computer and downloaded the current version 6.5. Obviously my key does not work. I sent an email to support@wnsoft.com but have had no reply. What are my options to get PTE up and running on my computer again? Thanks for any help. Shirley Hogan

  11. Thanks for your help, Lin. Shirley
  12. I know I'm asking a "wrong" question too but since you guys are talking about xp - here goes anyway. My computer is Windows XP with SP1. I resisted putting SP2 on when it came out because I was hearing about so many problems with it. I am now seeing some software (don't remember what at the moment) that requires SP2 so I am toying with the idea of upgrading now. Anybody have any suggestions or comments? (I am not exactly what you would call computer-savy.) Thanks Shirley
  13. Thanks Ken, Tom, and Lin for your responses. Lin, I was able to easily follow your instructions and the tutorial video was icing on the cake. Thank you so much! Shirley Hogan
  14. Thanks guys. I'm afraid I'm too much of a beginner to understand this right now. But I do enjoy making slideshows with music in a very simple way. Thanks for your help. Shirley
  15. I know how to do Pans and Zooms in Microsoft Photostory 3 but I can't figure our how to do them in Pictures2exe. I know that I should click on my slide at the bottom to bring it on the top right of screen and then click the Objects and Animations button. I know I should do "something" on the Animations Tab. Can someone either direct me to a simple sample or give me instructions? Thanks for any help. Shirley
  16. I loved the slideshow and the music. Beautiful tribute to Shebang!
  17. YEA! I finally created a DVD that you can play on a DVD Player. Thanks, Al & John, for your help. After I installed PicturesToExe, finally got the correct "key", and copied my pte file and pictures to the newer computer, it was a piece of cake. Unfortunately my computer expertise is pretty much limited to trial and error . When I do get something to work, I usually don't know how I did it. I picked up a lot of helpful info from this forum and I am grateful that there are people like you guys who are willing to help people like me. Thanks again. Shirley
  18. Thanks - I'll let you know how I do (and what else I need help with.) Shirley
  19. I had Pictures V4.4(something) on my computer. My computer is old - Windows XP Service Pack 1 and has a CD (Not DVD) Burner. I upgraded to 5.02 Deluxe PTEs o I could get the Video builder which I thought would allow me to burn a DVD which would play on a DVD Player without any additional software (without creating avi or iso files). I have been unable to get the Video Builder to work on my computer. I have read everything I could find on the forums and tried the Support email system. I can't figure out if I have a hardware issue, software issue, or (more likely) User Ignorance. I have a newer computer on which I would like to install PicturesToExe Version 5 with Video Builder. Can I do that without paying again? How? Thanks for any help. Shirley
