Hello: Have you cropped your images to the correct size in 16x9? If you don't shoot your images in 16x9 format you will have to crop your images not just resize them or they will appear in the wrong aspect ratio on your tv. I use the standard 1920x1080. Your DVD must be set to 16x9 format as most will still default to 4:3. Hope this helps you. Ralph Smith

Ron the point I was trying to make was that whatever resolution you have it will always default to the native resolution of your TV. I assume you have a 42 inch plasma HDTV which is 1024x768 pixels for most. You are not getting 1080i on this TV. You would need a TV with native resolution of 1920x1080. Ralvis

A few thoughts on my experience with Digtal TV From the tests I have done with my 42 inch Plasma I have found that creating a PROGRESSIVE Scan DVD show will give you the best quality for a 480p DVD Player. The bottom line is your digital TV will convert your input to it's native resolution eg. 42 Plasma HDTV 1024x Most LCD 1368x 1080p 1920x1080 I have tried resizing my images to my Plasma's native resolution instead of the 1920x1080 that I shoot in and I could not see any difference in quality. I have watched 1080p side by side with EDTV 852x at 9 feet I could not see any difference. If you go up and stand 2 feet away in some scenes you can see a little difference. I use my laptop connected through vga to view shows on my plasma. I would'nt be to concerned about 1080p TV. We don't even have the bandwidth for 1080i at the moment.

This is a show I made in 2002 as a tribute to my Uncle George who was killed in a plane crash in France 2 days after WWII ended. I spent many hours mixing the sound for this show. There are some obvious flaws with the show but unfortunately I lost the project file when my Hardrive disintegragted. It was originally designed to be compact in size 3.6 megs so even people with modems could download it. The show was designed to run in 1024x768 screen size. The intro was done in Flash and the show in PTE 4. I hope anyone who watches this show will stop and think about all of those who sacrificed for us. Hi Everyone. Just a quick pan and zoom show done with Version 5 beta. Images are 1280x720. I just made a trip to take my grandaughters back home to Invermere B.C. from Vancouver. Hello All: Since Beechbrook has ran out of space, should we be looking at the file sizes we are creating? Do we really need over 10 megs to present our sequences.? Thanks Michel for your kind words. The majority of these images were not taken by my son. He works in Kabul for the Military as a civilian. He got most of these images from a friend. As far as he knows most of these images were taken by various people stationed in Kabul in the Military Forces and pooled together for viewing. He is going back over to Kabul in 2 weeks and I have asked him to investigate further to give the proper credits to the original photographers if possible. Ralvis

Each time a jpeg image is saved the image is degraded. This program will crop your jpeg image and not degrade the image when it saves the file. Ralvis
