  1. I am making my first big AV 120 slides. All my shows up to now have been short around 20-30 slides. In the timeline view I can zoom in or out with CONTROL+F11 or F12 but in the slidelist view they are greyed out and do not work. Is it possible to zoom in or out in the slidelist because with a lot of slides it is cumbersome moving back and forward a long way in the display? Thanks PH.
  2. Yes we do need additions to PTE sound area badly. Peters suggestions are the list of what is needed with just one small correction •to place multiple sound objects precisely on the timeline Lin is also correct in his statement but I would say "All the good diaporamas programs have some kind of sound management that is better than what PTE offers currently" Igor has been promising this addition to PTE as far back as v5.1 or 5.2 and it still has not arrived. I hope his latest promise see---- http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10405&view=&hl=sound&fromsearch=1 He Said will be honoured in the next release of PTE.
  3. I am having trouble downloading you AV from Beechbrook it tells me that it is not a valid ZIP file. Can you load it somewhere else please?
  4. Nice software tool, thanks for the info. I got the free version 6.5.
  5. I was not trying to tell you which camera to buy Mike my point was for you to Try before you Buy. The camera controls layout menu system body shape balance and so on will suit different people in different ways and after you have your short list from your research I was just pointing out that it is well worth trying each piece of equipment before making the final decision. It worked for me.
  6. I am new to DSLRs only been using one for 10 weeks and went through the long process of finding the right one to buy. It came down to a choice between the Nikon D300 and the Canon 50D. Both are excellent cameras and very similar in results quality - build - functions - price and so on. When I actually got them in my hand the decision was made for me. The Canon just felt right and the controls joystick and wheels felt much better to use than the Nikons. Someone mentioned this in a earlier post. also I must second Johns comment on the Canon 10-22 zoom it is a stunning lens at the price and gives me excellent results. So Mike whatever you decide make sure you get to handle one before you buy. You will only know the right camera for you by how it feels in your hands.
  7. Like your show Maureen. I am a new user of PTE could someone tell me what the boxes are please?
  8. I like the new forum. Runs fine for me on IE8 and Firefox. XP Pro SP3.
  9. I am a new user to PTE had it 5 weeks. Blown away by how good the program is and what can be done especially in the O&A. Also this forum rocks. But very disappointed by the poor sound side of program. Hope some of the things suggested by Peter John and others here can be added to PTE soon!!
