  1. Thanks Sam. I will try that. Meanwhile I have started to wade through a similar 3D programme which I have had on file for some time - Serif ImpactPlus 5.0. It is a question of printing out the tutorials section by section and working it through. Happy New Year. Ron [uK]
  2. I have completed the download and the installation. There is a pdf manual but at a quick glance I can see no reference to fonts. I have not registered. Ron [uK]
  3. Thanks for your input Ken. I heartily agree that "Sam does good work". Hence my interest in hoping to emulate his style of presentation. Best wishes. Ron [uK]
  4. Thanks for the information Sam. I have done a quick check on the Net and STRATA 3D looks to be a relatively expensive piece of software for what would be a comparatively minimal usage. Best wishes and thanks again. Ron [uK]
  5. Roger Why did you repeat the whole of Dave's question when your reply immediately followed it? Ron [uK]
  6. Muscle To answer the first part of your question you can set any number of effects in a presentation by using the "Customize Slide" button which is situated below the Slide List. This "Customize Slide" facility is also available on the Timeline where the button is visible right bottom when a slide is highlighted and also by right clicking on the image on the lighttable and selecting from the dropdown menu. Ron [uK]
  7. And my very best wishes to you Sam for the New Year. Did you construct the wired text or is there a software source? I think presentation is important and you have shown this with your greeting. Ron [uK]
  8. Words fail me. Ron [uK]
  9. Although nearly three hundred members have downloaded Purton from the Beechbrook site only Al and myself have responded to Dave's asked for comments. This is an excellent sequence and worthy of praise. Anyway - HAPPY CHRISTMAS. Ron [uK]
  10. From the new Visual Editor it looks as though the first months of 2006 will be spent on the "learning curve". Can't wait to get to grips with it. Best wishes to Igor, Aleksey and the team. Ron [uK]
  11. That was well worth the wait. I have now viewed "Purton" in full. It was pure enjoyment with, as Al has said "the haunting music and lovely B&W images, nicely synchronized, work very well with the subject". Each image a masterpiece in itself, cropped to perfection within each frame and with the fades and holds carefully arranged for each to be appreciated. Whilst I seldom use framing myself, yours complimented the presentation. Thank you. Ron [uK]
  12. I have had my breakfast Dave and the download has just finished taking 1 hour 20 minutes. In a recent Forum test my download time for a test piece was one of the fastest. Since then my Broadband download speed has increased from 2Mb to 10Mb. "Strasbourg" which I downloaded off the Beechbrook site, whilst I was trying to download "Purton" last evening, came through in rapid time even though it was a bigger file, 25.7Mb as against 17.1Mb. I have unzipped and opened your sequence briefly and I can see that I am going to enjoy it when I get more time. I did notice that you have used some heavy framing which may account for the slowness of the download. Ron [uK]
  13. Morturn I have not seen your Purton sequence as yet. I started to download it last evening but it was taking so long that I abandoned the attempt. I have just begun another attempt and, although I am on superfast Broadband, after 10 minutes only 9% has downloaded. But this time I will persevere and go and have my breakfast. I had a brief look at your website but that too was taking time to materialise. I don't know if Al or others have had similar problems. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing your sequence. Best wishes. Ron [uK] P.S. As I am about to click the Add Reply button 18 minutes has passed and 17% has downloaded.
  14. Al What you have done is to use it correctly. If you had been responding to my post only you would have used the "Add reply" button such as I have done now. Regards Ron [uK]
  15. Why has "Quote" and "Reply" been used here and not "Add Reply"? This has been used a lot lately since the change in InVision Board and creates a lot of unnecessary script particularly when the quote is of the previous post. In conversation one is hardly likely to repeat what a person has just said before responding. Ron [uK]
  16. That is working satisfactorily. Cannot view the whole sequence as of this time, but what I have seen I will certainly come back to it later. Thank you. Ron [uK]
  17. Same with me. When I right click on the window, "Riva Website" and "Riva WebPlayer Version 2.05" appear inter alia in a drop down menu. Ron [uK]
  18. Clicking on the small icon for "Go to last unread" is working satisfactorily now on my equipment. Thanks Igor, his team and Michel for the speedy resolution of the problem. My scan revealed no viruses. Best wishes to all for Christmas and the New Year. Ron [uK]
  19. When I click on the small icon for "Go to last unread" it opens up a blank screen. I then have to go back and select the whole topic and wade through all the posts to the end. Is anyone else experiemcing this. It has only started within the last twelve hours. Ron [uK]
  20. Also Karel you can right click on a slide in the Slide List or in the Light Table (last icon bottom right of PTE Main Screen) and the drop down menu gives you all sorts of choices one of which is "Start preview from current slide (Ctrl+R)". Ron [uK]
  21. It is no good bringing me into it Ken I thought "bling" was a typing error. Ah! 'Blingkin' marvazing!!!!. Now I see it "Blinking marvellous" Reminds me when I was at school in the 30's the English master mocking the Hampshire accent with "Smawijja" meaning "What is the matter with you". Ron [uK]
  22. Not really only that I like to have things already to hand, set up ready for use Thanks again anyway. I use USB for connection. Ron [uK]
  23. Thanks Dave and Ian for your replies. At present I connect my Sony MD Recorder to my computer, just as you advised me a few months ago Ian, but I thought that there might be a separate reader on the market. Are you suggesting getting a separate player which are much cheaper than recorder/players? Best wishes Ron [uK]
  24. Thanks Dave for your help, but what I am looking for is an actual reader of the MiniDisk. I have no problem in linking my Sony MD Recorder to my computer such as you can with a digital camera, but I want to take the MiniDisk out of the Recorder and plug it into a reader. Ron {UK}
  25. With Sound and Readers currently occupying our thoughts on the Forum, does anyone know if there is a reader with USB connection for Sony Mini Discs ? Ron [uK]
