Hello, I´m missing the - fade out / fade in - mode like in Kai´s Power Show too. It would be very urgent for me to use it with PTE. I`ve made pictures of a Karl-May-Festival (Winnetou I) and I want to start the right music with the right scene. So I need to fade out the music before the next starts. And this is not possible with PTE. Greetings, T.

Hi friends, I´ve created a start-menu with music. When I start another pte-presentation from it, the music doesn´t stop. Is there any possibility to stop the music for this time and start it once again after finishing the presentation? Greetings, T

Hello, your friend has no mp3-codec. Try to use the internal mp3-player. Then he has no problems. T.

@Igor I never use wma-files. But a question. If I use a mp3-file which is created with lame-encoder with variable bitrate, the time of the song, which is displayed is wrong (autosync/timeline). So I have to encode the song once more with constant bitrate. What´s about the new mp3-player? Can this player show the real time of a variable bitrate file? Greetings, T.

@LumenLux: Sorting with Kai´s PowerShow doesn´t works with PTE. But the thumbnail-mode would be a good template for a thumbnail-mode in PTE.

I prefer option 3 too.

@Guru Yes you are right. For my last show I have used the compression rate of 80 % with Photo Impact. The size of the images is 1024 x 768 horiz. and ??? x 768 vertical. I have test to view the show with 80 % screen-size and with image-size of 800 x 600 pixel. On my old notebook with P II 233 MHZ there was no problem with the version of resizing to 80 %. The show runs well. So I will use in future the resizing mode, so I can quickly change the show for every screen resolution 1024 x 768 and smaller. I hope I have time to upload it to beechbrook, but first I have to make it much smaller, because the size is about 100 MB with music. Greetings, T.

I have written many times, that I have sometimes the same problem. It is not the synchronisation. It has to do with the memory management I think. I have Win2000, Athlon 2000+, 512 MB Ram. Sometimes I have sound-problems or the images are flickering and doesn´t change - the music goes on -. In preview-mode, when I stop the show at this error point and start it again at the same point, the show runs for a small time o.k.. Yesterday I viewed a show, creating with my Athlon 2000+ PC on my notebook - P II 233 Mhz, 192 MB RAM - and it runs without sound and flickering errors. One hour before on my PC, the show has had the errors. So it must be a memory problem. If I reboot the system and start the show immediately, there are no problems. T.

FixFoto has the normal sort-function like other photo-editors. We have do wait, until Igor has integrated a thumbnail-mode into PTE. I hope so. R.

I have often the same problems - only in automatic sync-mode -. And there is no overlapping. Often posted in this forum. But I didn´t find the error. T.

I have posted this for 2 weeks too. There is a differende about 0,5 cm to the right side of the screen. The images are not exactly in the center of the screen. T.

No tool or external program. I wish a thumbnail-mode like in the german software - FixFoto - (also available in english language - help not yet in english -) but inside of PTE. I have no fun to change often between different software to sort the images in thumbnail-mode. http://www.j-k-s.com It cannot be such a problem to include this into PTE. T. To use a software has to be as simple as possible, also for people who doesn´t know much of computers. A few tools are o.k.. But for each new wish for PTE every time a new tool is not good. It´s better to intigrate a part of them into PTE. This is my opinion. I am not a friend of external programs - in this time thumbnails -. Hello and good morning from Germany. I tried it, but drag and drop in thumbnail-mode doesn´t work. I hope, that there will sometimes thumbnail-mode in PTE, this is for me one of the importants things I´m waiting for. T.

@guru: This is, what I mean. I use the same way, but users, who don´t know much about computer and software are not able to find this way. My opinion is, if I create a project with any kind of software and I do changings in, there must be an easier way to do this inside the software, not with external program like editor. For me, there is no problem to do these changings. But it should be a little bit more comfortable. T.

Yes of course to the hard drive. It should be a help for easier changing the path. In WIN 2000 German, the path for the folder - my files - is called: c:\dokumente und einstellungen\all users.winnt\eigene dateien\dia-shows\nepal1998\ You must not store the templates (images, music ...) in such a large folder, but it could be. So I want an easy way to change such a path with entering a new path and click o.k.. T.

Hi friends. Maybe we have finished presentations with PTE and have stored the PTE-project file and the images for secure on CD-Rom or otherwise. Now, 1 year later, we want to change a part of an old show. When we open PTE and the project file, there comes a warning, that the images cannot be found. So we have to edit the project.pte with editor and change the path to the folder, the images are now (CD-Rom, D:, .... ). Igor, can you create a menu-point or a popup window, where it is possible, where we can enter the new path of the images, when this message appears? What do you mean, friends? Hello friends, yesterday I have found a very good image-software in Germany, called - FixFoto -. It is so simple to use with best results. I have just bought it and if you are interested in, please have a look at the web page. You can set the menu-language to english. The download-version is a full version to test all functions, but you cannot store the images. The price is about 30 Euro. The programmer has told me, that the english help-function is in work. I just previewed my Nepal-show again and now I got music errors after 3 images and the images didn´t change. I tried it then with internal player. The errors came a little bit later. After this I viewed my created show. It runs normal. Now I have tried another way. I have removed all images from slide list and I have added pictures from an other folder into the slide list. This were pictures, made with my digital camera in format 1024 x 768 - not changed and stored in a photo-software. The preview-mode with the settings and the music of my Nepal-show runs very well. After this, I have added my Nepal-pictures into the slide list and started preview-mode once more. The errors came once more always at the same point and pictures. Now - could it be, that there is a problem with JPG-format - maybe stored in progressiv-mode .... - ? But now, after some more tests, I tried previe-mode once more - now it works with my Nepal images 2 times. In this time I don´t know nothing more. 10 minutes later, without changes at programs and PC, the preview hangs at the same point in show - the music plays normal. T.
