  1. Thanks, Ken. As I replied to you via email 32 x 32 x 256 worked just fine! I'm just puzzled as to why 16 x 16 x 16 didn't! Oh, well, the larger dimensions have to make a better icon anyway! Thanks again. Isabel
  2. I've always been able to make usable icons with Irfanview, but I kept getting error messages. I made the icons 16 x 16 and 16 colors. Can anyone set me straight as to how to prepare an icon for version 4.3? TIA. Isabel
  3. Yup! It definitely is the camera. I've taken show pictures before with other digicams...none compare with this one! Isabel
  4. Thank you, Daniel. Trust me, not every American church puts on such a spectacular show! The first half of the show was very "light-hearted" but the second half got into biblical stories, as evidence by scenes depicting the changing of water into wine, Lazarus coming to life, the woman at the well, and the stoning of the harlot. There also was a very moving scene depicting the crucifixion, with beautiful lightin, but I didn't think it was appropriate for this show, so I didn't include it, but the picture is in my pbase gallery: http://www.pbase.com/isabel95/christmasbiltmore Isabel
  5. Thank you, Andrew. I have always loved the images from the Rebel, but the startup and wakeup times have been frustrating, since most of my photography is of cats and dogs. When the 20D came out and I saw it weighed less than the 10D and had practically non-existent startup and wakeup times, as well as excellent high ISO performance I had to have one. I fell in love with it instantly. These pictures were taken on about the 3rd day I had the camera. I knew that jpg images straight out of my Rebel looked good with +1 settings on contrast, saturation and sharpness, that's the way I set up parameter one in my 20D. (Thank you, Dadou, for pointing me to those settings!) We were seated way off to the right in the audience, but I chose a seat next to the videographer so there was some space clear of peoples' heads. I used the Canon EF 85mm F/1.8 lens without a tripod with some of the pictures on ISO 1600 and some on ISO 800., with partial metering set. I had very little exposure adjustments to make in my post processing with Photoshop. Some of the pictures had noise reduction, many did not. I think the noise reduction had to be applied on images which had lots of dark areas which I wanted to lighten up. Noise is always worse when you have to lighten an area! If you want to see the EXIF information for these pictures you can go to my pBase gallery for the show: http://www.pbase.com/isabe95/christmasbiltmore While you are there, visit the ISO 3200 gallery for the 20D. The quality has astounded me. Isabel
  6. Thank you, Patrick for the voluminous praise! The praise should really go to the camera. Its high ISO performance is remarkable! Isabel
  7. Had the 20D about 3 days when these pictures were taken. Most of these images were taken at ISO 800 or 1600 with the Canon EF 85mm f1.8 lens. Isabel
  8. That's the way I created the borders originally. I just had had 1 pixel borders on them before I decided to put them in a show. Isabel
  9. Ahah! Some of the borders had only 1 pixel. I will have to go back and fix those images. Thank you, Michel. Isabel
  10. In my latest presentation, "My Little Friend", every image has a white border around it, yet in several pictures the border doesn't show on one or two sides. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening? Isabel
  11. You'll want to go there after you see this fascinating presentation. You'll wonder at the genius that produced such marvelous mosaic work. Don't miss this program. Isabel
  12. This was posted by Linda Vich of the Digitalnuts Yahoo Group: > Subject: Sending large files From time to time, you may need to send a large file to a friend. Large files don't do well in emails and not everyone has a website from which files can be downloaded. Dropload http://www.dropload.com/ is a place where you can upload a file up to 50MB in size and then send an email to your friend. They have 48 hours to download it before it will be deleted. Thought our members might want to take advantage of this at some point! It's FREE! < Isabel
  13. I agree! http://www.pbase.com/isabel95 Isabel
  14. Oops! Sorry...I posted the wrong link...here's the correct one: http://www.pbase.com/image/28647659 Isabel
  15. Thank you for sharing the download link for this beautiful program. My cat Louie enjoyed the program as much as I did! http://www.pbase.com/update_image/28647659 Isabel
  16. I can't find enough superlatives for these images and the accompanying music! I realize that most were taken with super-long, super-heavy lenses...and as much as I would like to be able to capture similar images with similar equipment realize that I will have to be among the appreciaters of such skill and artistry. Thank you for sharing. I hope you didn't put an expiration date on this presentation because I'd like to keep it for as long as I want to be inspired. Isabel
  17. Daniel has done it again. His "Fallas March 2004" presentation is a masterful blend of stunning images and a most appropriate sound track! He had an especially difficult job with this one because the Fallas came, I believe, just a couple of days after the terrible bombing tragedy in Spain. Isabel
  18. Thanks! It's installed! Now to try to save something in avi format. Isabel
  19. Looking forward to seeing your show with your three critters. It's nice to see some animal programs amonst all the travelogues! My husband is going to build a platform to go over the keyboard. That should solve the problem. Isabel
  20. Thanks...I think...are you talking about Digipets? It's a group I started to help people improve their pet photography! We've got people into cats, dogs, birds, bunnies and horses! Isabel
  21. Is it necessary to delete the previous version, or does the new version just replace the old one? Will I have to enter the registration number again? Isabel
  22. I have a wonderful video and dvd called "Video Catnip" which absolutely entrances him. Any one who has a cat and likes to photograph it, should get a copy of that program. Problem is he won't pay attention to it all day long. Here he is with rapt attention, watching it, back before I moved the keyboard out of my bedroom into its present spot: http://www.pbase.com/image/26635156 I think those towels are just too inviting! Isabel
  23. http://www.pbase.com/image/27137103 Carrying the keyboard from the bedroom to my computer got to be a real hassle and I have a nice divot in its case to prove that. Finally figured out how to place it next to the computer, but Louie likes to rest on it. I wonder about the springs of the keys. Anyone have an idea how I can keep him off? Isabel
  24. Romancing the Park is a masterpiece! New ways of seeing Spectacular transitions Perfect music Not "Eye Candy" but "Eye Caviar". Isabel
