  1. High Carol, I can't offer any assistance with your problem I'm afraid, Lin has given such in depth adivice that I hope will help you. However, you are not the first person to have lost your project files;) it has happened to me in the past!  To protect myself now, I always save my shows as an mp4 file (in addition to  the project and backup in zip) and then copy the mp4 to a usb stick. I can then use this usb to connect to my TV.

  2. I read a post recently created by Goddi, where he mentioned that he reads emails on his server. Sounds like a good ides to me but, is it a private server or a national one?  I might be an 'oldie' but I have never heard of this and would like to have some more information.  For example, I am hosted by GoDaddy so am I able to read my emails from that server.

Also, if an email is deleted from a server, does that prevent it from reaching my own personal email accounts?

  3. You can't stop people from screen grabbing your images but, you can prevent those stolen images from being of much use to the thief by keeping the resolution and size down.

Try saving your slide show images with the 'Save for Web' feature in Photoshop.

Personally, if anyone wants to 'steal' my images, I would take that as a compliment!

  4. Depends on the quality of the recorded video of course. I have seen videos that ran for well over an hour and I reckon that most viewers would just stop watching after about 15 minutes.  If you make PTE slide shows of the weddings you have shot, pick out the best bits, avoid over-use of transitions etc and then limit the length of the final video to no more than 20 minutes.
