  1. Thank you! Excuse me, that I still didn't reply on your suggestions and ideas! When we prepare release candidate in week or so and solve last several problems I'll begin reply on your messages. And please don't worry, here all ideas well placed in one section and I'll regularly visit and read your suggestions.
  2. I wonder whether it would be possible to add a Keyline option in O&A, with options to either keep the Keyline constant at a set number of pixels, or to have it expand or contract an equal amount, in relation to how the slide is zoomed in or out?
  3. I would like to be able to open a spread sheet layout that list all images and setting so we could quickly go through and make changes to values
  4. I've found in Pte the best graphic engine and the most easy animation interface in slideshow software, however pte isn't only a picture software, we are in the audiovisual world. Actually it's very very long and difficult to synchronise objects in the animation window: there's no sound!!!! Why????? Only one audio track, it's very poor, no possibility to change sequences, no flexibility in sound fading and timing... I don't talk about sound editing and directx or vst effects , I use Wavelab for that; but it's absolutely primordial to insert real-time fading, scrubbing and overs basics functions, without that, it's a big waste of time and archaic edition... With good implementation of sounds tracks and flexibility, Pte will be the best slideshow software. Very important also is the capability of playing animated gifs and vidéos as objects. That's all!!!
  5. Hi, Is there a way somewhere in PTE to set default theme button ? I mean when I add a button I'd like button theme set at a predetermined theme. Alain
  6. Hi, Many years ago, (at PTE 3.80 ) I did an interactive diaporama with many buttons and go to slide actions. When I finished it I was totally fed up ot PTE. I'm still thinking about this amount of job. (should say waste of time with 3.80 PTE but quite fun anyway). In V3.80 there was some tools (no perfect) but existing tools to align "Text" and "Button". I didn't find these tools in V5.00. So here is my suggestion about what I really missed in V3.80. (if one day I got idea to do same interactive diaporama.) when several buttons are selected, with a right clic to get : "Align" - Top (all buttons are aligned at the highest button - Left (all buttons are aligned at button on far left. - Right (......... - Bottom (........ This is only fields (Pan H, Pan V) to ajust from another button PanH orPanV ? some others sugegestions could be done : - resize all selected button (or text) at biggest, smallest for high and wide size. - copy properties button (or text) and apply it to all selected button (text). I agree these additionnals functions are more suitable for "Button" object. This would save quite a lot of time when using "Button" object. Here is a screen to illustrate. Regards Alain
  7. Hi, Following Multi time line suggestion, which seems not so easy to implement, here is another suggestion may be easier to implement in PTE. The idea is always the same : to have a wider point of view of others object's keypoints in order to synchronise and place others object's keypoints at same time. The idea would be to add some cursor marks in time line for a slide. This mark would be seen by any objet in the slide. This would help to add some keypoint at the same time. - in time line with right click you could choose in menu : "Add Cursor mark here" - you could add several "Cursor mark". (let's say up to eight with default different colors) - you could also delete a Cursor mark. Here is a screen copy to illustrate. This follow another and same suggestion already done but I couldn't find it again in forum. Alain
  8. Hi, In O&A window, I'm trying to use Keypoint time value in Animation Tab. But I can't manage to think (or my mind is too slow) with relative keypoint time values (in animation tab). Keypoint time values in time line is displayed in absolute time. In fact the problem occur only when time is less than one minute. Here is a screen copy to illustrate. I posted this topic here because it could also be posted in "Report bug beta" or "suggestion for future". Depending point of view. Alain
  9. I would like to use "dynamic blur" in the same way as the pzr parameters are designed. Today, blur is per object but it is just "on" or "off". It would be great if you could change the amount of blur (0 - 100 %) for different objects from keypoint to keypoint. Would it be possible to extend the "pzr" concept to "pzrb" ? Ragnar
  10. It would be very handy to be able to select multiple keypoints in the O&A window (like you can now with the Timeline window using CTRL or SHIFT + Click) As it stands now if you make an animation but want to insert something or move the animation back or forward in time its a very time consuming process. Andrew
  11. What would be very great is to associate at a picture or at an object with all its children an alpha layer in which we can put a W&B picture with its own PZR effect, it would be possible like that to do a lot of effects, for instance make moving the part of a picture with opacity at 100%.
  12. To day we can have an effect between 2 slides, it would be nice to have the same effects on an objects and its children. For instance we could put a curling of page for an album. It would be also nice to have the possiblity for some effects as hour hand, rhombus, rectangle to do as for circle : change the center.
  13. I would appreciate if I could set my own default values for PTE to use. Lets say that I almost always will use "smoothe" (or some of my own created) speed schemes for animations, and always want "separate here" (not glue). These are just an example, there are many default values in PTE that that could use my suggested feature : - A pte.ini file where you set your own default values, or a menu selectable setup window for PTE defaults. Ragnar
  14. Hi Igor, I just lost about three hours of work on a menu system because I ran out of memory - LOL. I "should" have been saving my work, but didn't. If it's not too much work for a future version, perhaps an "autosave" feature with a check box so it would be prossible to prevent this type thing and one could only loose the work since last save. Best regards, Lin
  15. Hi, In order to follow "reset to default vlue" by a mouse click on actions (Pan, zoom, rotate, ...), this feature is missing for "Line spacing" in "Properties" tab. A "reset to default value" should be added when clicking in "Line spacing" text. Here is a screen copy to illustrate. Alain
  16. Hi, It would be nice to add a "Play" button which could play slide from current cursor position. This would save quite a lot of time when trying to synchronise effects near end of slide time. (specially when slide time is quite high. (> 30sec)) Here a screen copy to illustrate. Alain
  17. Hi 2 topics I would like addressed in future versions of PTE The text facility could be updated with bevel, emboss etc like in Adobe Photoshop. I would also like to be able to make a voice commentary with a click of a button 'record' say what you have to say then click button 'stop' This facility is also in photostory3. Look forward to hearing your comments Regards Jean
  18. Would it be possible to access the O&A window for any slide by right clicking on the transition point in the timeline and selecting a menu option? This would save having to back out of the Timeline Window everytime you wanted to make small adjustments. Andrew
  19. Hello, just another idea, sounds easy but maybe isn't, I tested in v5 beta 11 adding animated .gif image would it be possible without too much programming to display the picture's inherent animation when showing it? Rgds, Volker (sorry for posting this in the wrong section at first, Ken, maybe someone can delete my original post)
  20. Currently ONLY in the timeline can you use the option to "Replace the main image.." by right clicking on the transistion point and selecting the option. This allows you to keep timings, effects, objects and animation of the slide but change the image. Can this option also be included in the main Slide List View i.e without having to go into the Timeline.
  21. For many years now I've been making my friends happy with screensavers made with Pictures to Exe. One problem though: several of my friends have a Mac and they don't want to change their minds. As far as I know there is only one program, ScreenTime, which can produce screensavers both for PC and Mac. It's very expensive though. Would it be possible to expand Pictures to Exe with this option?
  22. I would like to see the ability to sync an audio track (music or speech) across a section of slides - eg starting at a particular slide instead of the beginning of the show. For example, at present I use a two part presentation - 1st part is talk and manually change slides. 2nd Part is a sync'd audio-visual. 1st part is variable duration depending on how much I talk...2nd part is a fixed duration according to the slides and music. At the moment, I have to create two separate slideshows and run one after the other as I can't fix the soundtrack to the timeline (I know which slide it starts at...but not the time!). Because they are run as two shows, this often means that the desktop is visible during the changeover between shows, and doesn't look 100% professional. It would be great if the two shows could be rolled into one, with the music being synced across a particular section of the slides eg between slide 100 and 280. If this could also be extended to work multiple times then it would be really great.... eg: slides 1- 100 talk (no sync or audio track) slides 101 - 200 AudioVisual (sync'd audio track) Slides 201 - 220 talk (no sync or audio track) Slides 221 - 300 AudioVisual (sync'd audio track) etc etc.
  23. I feel a little bit guilty to already post suggestions for new versions although final v5.00 has not been released yet and Igor and Team still work hard on it. Anyway, here is one of my suggestion for FUTURE version : - ability to hear/mute background music and sound in O/A window
  24. There has been some talk on the forum recently of keeping a separate thread for future suggested enhancements, I have an idea:- In the pinned section there are three pinned topics each contains a bullet pointed list that is only updated by the moderators. The three pinned topics would be:- 1. Suggested improvements - any suggestion that hasn't already been suggested gets added a list. 2. Accepted improvements - all suggestions that have been accepted by Wnsoft are taken off the Suggested improvements list and added to this list, maybe even with a future implementation date added (if possible). 3. Declined improvements - all suggestions not accepted by Wnosft are taken off the Suggested improvements list and added to this list. It would mean some work on the part of the moderators but it would provide a very quick and easy reference as to what is or isn't planned for PTE. Of course as enhancements are put in place they would be removed from the Accepted Improvements list. If the moderators miss a suggestion then I'm sure the contributor can "bump" their suggestion to the top of the normal thread list until it is noticed by a moderator. Just a thought and maybe a way of making things clearer for everybody and avoid any repetition. P.S. You could have a similiar pinned list for known bugs P.S.S As you have probably worked out I love lists! hopefully this hasn't revealled anything too disturbing about my character :-) Cheers Andrew
  25. The non-linear zoom is really fantastic with lots of great versatility, but one issue has come to mind which could be solved in future versions of PTE beyond 5.0. When using non-linear animation for PZR, only the first and last keypoints are meaningful without using the rather complex separate function. Consider the following scenario: The user wants to first zoom in on a portion of a subject, pause, then pan across the subject, then zoom back out and again pause. With linear zoom this is a piece of cake. Just set a keypoint, drag the bounding rectangle to the desired end of zoom point, clone the keypoint and drag to the end of pause, set another keypoint and again drag the image to the point of next pause, clone the keypoint and slide to desired location, set another keypoint and size the rectangle once again to get the zoom out. Can be all done quicker than the explanation. Modifying the below a bit from the original: But what if you want the exact scenario with "soft" non-linear landings? To do this without clicking multiple times to separate keypoints from their default groupings one must insert the same slide into the slide list three times. On the first slide set customize feature to "quick, no transition," then set ending keypoint for the zoom in and drag the rectangle to the desired zoom, next go to the next slide and insert the identical pan, zoom, rotate numbers found at the end of the zoom on the first slide, next set the custom feature for this second slide to "quick, no transition, then set the keypoint where you want the pan to end, then go to slide three and set custom again to "quick, no transition" and again match the identical PZR numbers for the start of slide three to the last keypoint of slide two, set the next keypoint to the time where zoom out ends and drag the image to the desired zoom. Not so easy but primarily because you have to copy and paste the pan, zoom, rotate numbers for the begining of slides two and three. So, the feature: Have a check box which simply automates the process of "match" previous or "match" next slide. When checked, this would automatically insert the PZR values from the previous ending keypoint into the present slide and thus save a tremendous amout of time allowing much easier use of the non-linear PZR effects when doing more than a single animation in a single slide. This is not to take away from the very powerful feature of separate and glue, but sometimes it's infinitely quicker to obtain the result one is looking for by copy paste slides and duplicating the relevant numbers from end of slide "A" to begin slide "B", etc. I find it obtuse to have to click on each of PZR and look at a waveform to determine which non-linear function was used between specific keypoints. All the caption tells me is "custom" and not which linear effect was used. I must look at each and remember which graph represents which non-linear effect which rather negates having a separate category for each non-linear function. Best regards, Lin
