trailertrash
I have created a slide with a piece of text [Play] which I have assigned the action 'Run Slideshow'.However, How do I get that slide with the text on it to NOT transition to the next slide until the text is clicked.Hope I have explained that properly. JRR
Andrew:There are a few variations that I know PTE'ers use, but if it is a single slide menu show, or if it is the last slide in a show, I use PROJECT OPTIONS > MAIN >when show ends keep last slide on the screen.Hope that fits your situation
trailertrash
Hi Jim, What I want is a clickable slide that wont transition till it is clicked.I sort of found a way while I'm waiting and that is to make the word 'Play' have the action associated with it to run slideshow.I set the time at 60 seconds to give the slide viewer plenty of time for the viewer to read and 'click' the slide to start the show proper. That means however I cant have the music staring with that slide cause its stood still!!Any other methods?Andrew
Guest Yachtsman1
Hi Andrew, do a search on menus, I think that is what you are looking for to do as requested. Regards EricYachtsman1
fh1805
Andrew,Go into Project Options...Main and ensure that "Wait for a key press or mouse click to show next slide" is ticked. This will make your sequence a manual sequence rather than an automated one. You will also probably want to go to Project Options...Advanced and change the "Hide cursor..." or "Auto-hide cursor..." to be "Always show cursor..." so that you can see which object your mouse is pointing at when you click the mouse.regards,Peter
fh1805
Andrew,Having re-read your two posts above, I think that you need to break your sequence into two separate ones. A manually controlled sequence that has just the one slide of text and no music and the automated one with music. You launch the second one by clicking the Text object in the first one.regards,Peter
trailertrash
Exactly peter, now how do I do that?
fh1805
Andrew,In post #5 I've explained how to set a sequence to be manually controlled. You, yourself, seem to have worked out how to trigger the launch of a sequence from an object. You have all the pieces of the jigsaw; all you have to do is assemble them. What is it that you still do not understand?regards,Peter
trailertrash
Peter, I think I have it. I made a dedicated slide with a sound file for it and used 'Customise slide' to get it to wait for a mouse click. I must pay more attention to those menu's.Then I added a blank, then the sequence with a sound file embedded in the first [or 3rd] slide and set it to play all the way thro. That seems to have solved the problem. Now when I start the show, I have to click 'Play' before it moves on to the 'show' proper.Sorted.You guys know so much its scary.
