Right click in Timeline window

Recommended Posts

No doubt Igor and his team of wizards already have some thoughts about possible future enhancements to the audio support within PTE, Here is a suggestion from me.

The current behaviour of a right click in the Timeline window is to open a pop-up window that has various options of relevance to the slide that is occupying that part of the timeline. How much more useful would it be if the action following right click was dependent upon which part of the Timeline window was under the pointer?

If the pointer is hovering over the slide flag or over any part of the Timeline view that lies above the level of the flag the action is as now. But if the pointer is hovering over the waveform area of the Timeline view, the action of right click is to open up the audio clip properties and envelope windows for the piece of audio that lies below the pointer. Instant access to the relevant audio data with just one click.

regards,

Peter
