Converting EXE to Mpeg4

Having switched from Window to Apple Mac I realise that my EXE files will not play so I need to convert them if this is possible. I have been referred to OBS studio and have tried to download the exe files on my windows lap top (v10) into OBS on the old windows LapTop.  I must admit I find this a little confusing. Is there an alternative or an idiots guide ?

Mike, When I installed OBS on my Win 10 laptop it set itself up without any problems.

You need to set it to have Record as the primary function & choose a Folder for the recordings to go into.

Then it just a case of setting it off recording & starting the PTE exe.

I did not really want to  trouble you again. I had to change the settings to record mpeg4. I had all the EXE's on a stick but just could not get it to record from the stick and do the conversion.
