  1. I am making a new production on my Mac Studio. All the initial slides/images are constructed using Objects and Animation with precisely positioned Key Points. I am using O&A due to the ease within PTE Studio of repositioning the slide within the frame to allow for text to be positioned next to the slide. Now the problem. When I try to place a new slide (or video) on the Timeline following the last Slide from within O&A, all the previous Slides move to the Left and reposition near to the start of the Timeline. The normal suggested advice to avoid this problem (I understand) is to make sure that in Settings/Preferences/Project you must Untick the box 'Scale key frames in Objects (on Time Change)'. This I have done but it fails to solve the problem. Advice please. This problem has now been solved through advice on the Facebook PTE Studio website. The solution is to Untick 'Scale key frames' in both Settings/Preferences/Project and Slide Options.

  2. The Flanders International Festival (European Championship) was held in 2011, please see my post above. I do not believe that it is still operating.
  3. Thanks Dave, this looks like it might have the advantage of being able to link slides to different pieces of music.
  4. Thanks Goddi, it all comes back now!
  5. Can someone remind me how to lock a particular part of the soundtrack to a particular slide?
  6. Hi Lowell, PTE has always been very particular about finding files. It's very easy to think you have saved a file where PTE will find it but then, often after a pause doing while you're doing something else for a few days, it won't appear. There's good advice from Barry as above: 'When making a slide show, create a folder and copy EVERYTHING you use into that folder, then work from there and only there. Your project file and Mp4 should also be in that folder and if you do that, you will have the ability to adjust your show and recreate it any time. Plus you’ll always know where everything is.'
  7. 4K (3840 x 2160 or 4096 x 2160) is about 8.5 megapixels, so your 18 Mb pictures are more than twice as big as they need to be. You areb right that a good graphics card is essential but even with this you will find speed improvements if you cut your individual image files to sensible proportions.
  8. A very interesting and useful discussion. Thank you all who contributed to it.
  9. Thank you Igor. It all works fine now.
  10. I have purchased an upgrade to PTE Studio 10. However when I enter the licence key in my current project Help/New Licence Key, I still cannot save the project. The message comes 'Beta version has expired'. How does one simply register the new licence key on a current project or move the current project across to a new project using the new licence key.
