Igor and team, just want to say Happy New Year and thanks again for v5.1 - over the past few days with the help of the excellent easy to use TMPGenc Xpress 4.0 I can take all the mpeg files from my hard disk camcorder, merge them into one big mpeg file, quickly create a photo slideshow to music, then in VideoBuilder easily create a menu, add the PTE slideshow and also my merged mpeg file and have both Photos and Video on one DVD in less than 1 hour. I did my parents Ruby wedding photos/video on one DVD and today in <1 hour had a DVD made from the past few days over Xmas with family, really is so easy and fast these day, especially VideoBuilder. Thanks for the great work!

Excellent news Igor, I have some recent photos taken at my parents 40th Ruby wedding anniversary and also some camcorder footage that I would like to get on the same DVD for them

Worth me plugging another great product alongside PTE if you wish to convert anything to run on PDA's or iPod's or ANY device at all.... DVD Catalyst v2.5 http://www.dvdcatalyst.com Very low price, outstanding email/forum support from the author, I've been a very satisfied customer and beta tester of this product for a while now and use it to convert everything. Even simpler, you could use PTE Videobuilder to make and burn your slideshow DVD then just ask DVD Catalyst to convert your DVD to PDA format of your choice...

I would not expect to Ken, I purchased my deluxe registration at v5.0 beta9 so would fully expect that now it is FINAL release it should be working, that is what I purchased it for, not just to help beta testing Edit: Igor beat me to the reply by ONE minute, thanks Igor!

Just remembered (sorry) - I had that problem on the first one I tried, in Videobuilder change the sound options to use the OTHER format - I found I had no sound with the mpeg audio option either. Igor I apologise I may not have reported this, it was on that 1000+ photo slideshow I did which took 21 hours to process so by the time I got it working using the other sound option I forgot I'd even had the original problem. Note, I've not tried BURNING a DVD with the videobuilder yet, so far all the ones I've done I've chose to make an ISO, then I just burn it myself with either Nero or ImgBurn software. Fedorov.

Understand completely However, I wanted to encapsulate our whole 2 weeks in Disney on one DVD, breaking it up didn't seem to make much sense in this particular case - it's going to get it's first official viewing from the kids and grandparents tomorrow night so let's see how it goes - the pan/zoom effects I find remove the boredom and my choice of disney music at certain times seems to work quite nicely - I've now watched it right through (63 mins) twice and didn't get bored, very enjoyable Thanks to Igor for his fantastic software and the DVD creation is just superb even if it does take 21 hours to process one this size

Hehe, yeah just got back from Orlando Disney with the family so I wanted to have the whole collection of photos from 2 weeks on a lovely DVD slideshow, added them all in, then used Customize to make certain "disney" tunes start at certain points then I spent a week manually doing pan/zoom effect on them all - it took just short of 21 hours for P2E deluxe beta 12 to make the ISO image for me, burnt it last night and watched it - WONDERFUL!!!

I agree, it's actually something similar to what I asked which has been moved to the suggestions forum - I've added certain pieces of music to start on specific slides and it's near impossible for me to go through 1000 slides and find the odd 4 or 5 where I added the music to begin at!!!

Worth every penny for deluxe if you ask me

If you check the v5 beta12 thread at the top, Igor says there will be a few more beta versions but it's real close to final as it is already so I suggest using v5 as I have been doing on Vista for a few weeks - it is fantastic!!!

Thanks for the reply Ray. I am sometimes adding >1 music file (mp3) into the customize slide screen, so I'm not using the Sound comment. So again, unless I'm missing the obvious, how can easily see if a particular slide has got some custom music files attached - I'm thinking in terms of showing a music icon overlayed in the corner of the slides or something... ...and a feature to show you all the music files in use by your project would be quite useful. Hi all, I'm working on a slideshow with beta 11A, it has just under 1000 photos. I've got music independent of slides so when a certain slide appears I have added an .mp3 to start playing at that point. Having previewed my slideshow (63mins) I have discovered a few places where I need to add a 2nd or 3rd .mp3 to a certain section of slides but it's VERY difficult to see which SPECIFIC slides I've manually added music to - am I missing the obvious here, is there not some icon or colour that can be used to show on your list of slides which ones you've overriden the defaults and applied CUSTOM effects/music to? Also, without being able to easily find these specific slides with music attached, I'm not sure which .mp3 files out of my folder that I've actually used in the show - it would be nice if there was a way to show a list of ALL attached music files used in the show and maybe even list which slides they are on etc.... Does any of this make any sense?! Thanks, Fedorov.

Is this issue only present when you have chosen more than ONE P2E slideshow in VideoBuilder? I've just done a single slideshow to DVD and it returns to the menu at the end of the show just fine.

Great release! :) I mentioned quite a few betas ago about the PageCurl transition - having showed it to a lot of people they all came to the same conclusion, if you choose to go BACK to a previous slide, it should reverse (do the opposite) the page curl to look like it is really going back a page. Would be a really cool effect I think. Keep up the great work. Fedorov.

Igor the new page transitions are fantastic - one minor complaint from some user feedback I got... If my slideshow is set to use the pagecurl (bottom-right to top-left) - when the user presses the left cursor or BACK button to return to the previous slide they would prefer to see the OPPOSITE page effect i.e. top-left to bottom-right. They found it very confusing that although they were navigating BACK the slideshow/page looks like it is going forwards if you know what I mean I don't know whether you can add an option to "apply opposite page curl with back button"???
