  1. Hi Ken, Yes, that's Martina McBride - it's one of the videos running on the cube... Lin
  2. Hi Tom, I wonder if it would be possible to use short video clips for part of the transition animation? If so, I have software to create realistic rocket propulsion ... I'll look into the possibilities and get back to you.... Later: Just looked into it and it works great... I'll make a Rocket exhaust video and maybe you can use it. The only problem is that right now it will have to be used with a custom mask because PTE doesn't support the Alpha Channel yet. So to make one without a background showing we need Alpha Channel support or contained in a mask... Here ya go.... zipped mask and rocketexhaust avi Link To Files Best regards, Lin
  3. Hi Ken, Thanks! It would be nice if I could get a few of these "channels" at home. I only get one channel which is worthwhile. I get three revival channels in Spanish, one in English and "ION" which plays mostly re-run detective shows. My "Rabbit Ears" just doesn't do it. Maybe some day I'll get cable - LOL. Best regards, Lin
  4. Hi Tom, Yes, sometimes it overwhelms the CPU and GPU so video makes more sense. The nice thing about video is that it can be used as an iterative tool to limit the load on the system. This allows building very complex animations which will run even on limited resource systems. Best regards, Lin
  5. Hi, I'm loading an updated version now - will be correcting the original link as soon as it is updated in about a half hour. Improved room design, etc. Sorry for the inconvenience... Original Link Now Corrected and Live... Best regards, Lin
  6. Hi Claudio, Great Christmas show - the cube and the snowglobe are perfect! I'll have to check on the Hex construction - I think David Gee posted a tutorial which may have covered how to do this. I don't think I've tried a six sided construct. I've done some octagons but I don't remember making a hexagon so I'm not certain about the accuracy of the math with PTE. I suspect PTE can handle it and maybe David will post a link to his tutorial on the "football" construct which I believe may have some tips. If he doesn't read this I'll try to find his post and put it here. Best regards, Lin
  7. Hey Andrew, Check out the latest one - all live wall with video cube! Tired from all the work - LOL Lin
  8. Hi Ken, Maybe - I spent today making the ultimate Video Wall - nearly 500 separate video screens each with live video and the rotating video cube in the middle - it was fun and now I have to go shovel snow... HA! Lin
  9. Well, how to spend the day after Christmas.... A Video Wall Room with nearly 500 video screens playing simultaneously while a rotating video cube with six videos takes center stage. Built entirely in PTE. Just pushing the limits to see if it could be done. It's been done before by some others with Adobe After Effects plus using several other software selections, but PTE is pretty special and it just took some thought about how to proceed and not overtax my system. Here's a Youtube link - Barry, your demo is in there somewhere too - LOL.. Optimized Windows Exe (about 125 meg download) Video Wall Executable Link Lin
  10. Bert, Ralph, Tom, Davy, Ken -- Thanks for watching - Merry Christmas to all ... Had to have something to do tonight so made a fancier version of the Video Cube and posted to YouTube.... Counting Flowers on The Wall, That Don't Bother Me at All ....... LOL Best regards, Lin
  11. Another YouTube presentation showing the Power of PTE - This one is too complex for executable - works great as a video though... Fancy Video Cube Link on YouTube (this now links to latest video wall referenced on new post) Best regards, Lin
  12. Hi Eric, "Stable" and "Static" are two different things... The version is very "stable" but people are asking for slight changes.. Best regards, Lin
  13. Thanks Celou and Merry Christmas to you and your family too!! Best regards,' Lin
  14. HI Gary, Cool!! Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and your family! Best regards, Lin
  15. Hi Bert, Just open PTE and start a new show. Put in a couple slides then click on one of them to select it. Next click on "Customize Slide" then choose "Transition" then "Custom Transitions" and then click on "Load" transition and navigate to where you have the PTEF file and choose it. You then can "Edit Transition" to see how it works or create one of your own.... Best regards, Lin
  16. Beautiful Davy, You "almost" have me liking snow again!! But then I had to shovel the driveway - LOL Best regards, Lin
  17. Merry Christmas Link Merry Christmas to all from Lin and Honey dog.... Just wait and follow text instructions! Best regards, Lin
  18. Just for fun folks - Rotating Video Cube with six different videos playing simultaneously - posted on Youtube here: Lin
  19. Tablets are essentially "dumb" terminals in that they have no ability to issue or decode pc computer instructions such as found in executable code. To play shows on tablets, slideshows must be in a format amenable to the particular tablet being used. Most tablets can play video so try saving your show as an mp4 h.264 in HD at 720p ;and it probably will work fine. Best regards, Lin
  20. Cool!! Lin
  21. Hi Tom, Yep, we slipped the "Grim Reaper" - for now at least! Cool site you linked. I don't know though, maybe keeping tabs on potential intruders in our solar system might make me reach for Prilosec or at least "Tums" LOL. Thinking about all the possibilities makes me sympathetic with the dinosaurs..... Best regards, Lin
  22. Hey Steven, That song was recorded at 45 rpm and played back at 33 rpm so interesting and "fitting" for the "end of world party" LOL Best regards, Lin
  23. Hi Robert, PTE's "toolbox" is just getting better and better. It's a challenge to try to simulate reality. Of course after going to the movies a week ago and seeing The Life of Pi in 3D, it's back to the drawing board! LOL. Best regards, Lin
  24. Hi Dave, LOL - Thanks! Arthur probably would be scratching his head. I one heard Jerry Reed describe his picking as "clawing." Yep, that would be "relaxing" HA! I think there is a video floating around on Youbube with Jerry playing with Chet. It's one of the few times I've actually hear Jerry tone it down a bit. He was a super talented guy for sure. It seems like we're losing lots of the great pickers lately. Best regards, Lin
